Jessa Callaver (jessa_callaver) | 8 comments I just saw a thread with this same title at another group and thought it was a great idea - having authors pair off and exchange read-and-reviews of each others' work. Of course we should list the themes or subjects we are uncomfortable in reading about (I'm pretty open but would need to know what the book's about), price constraints (ideally under $4 - sorry, starving artist here), word count preferences (none for me), etc.
I hope other members will sign on!

I'm happy to swap my book for a review. I agree with Jessa about stating what we're uncomfortable about reading. I didn't like the first book in the Dragon Tattoo series because of the graphic rape scene and gratuitous violence. Won't read the others either. Not a big fan of gore either. If I have an idea of what the book is about, I'll consider it.

A.B.R. (ABRe) | 4 comments I might be interested in reading swaps. My interests are sci-fi and thrillers, but may consider other genres like urban fantasy. Don't have anything ready to "swap" at the moment, but that doesn't deter me from agreeing to read other people's manuscripts, time permitting. Prefer to avoid graphic violence.

How are you? Would you be interested in reading my Ebook? It is a sci-fi novel called "Enoch and the Stars Above" Don't worry about the swap. I can send it to you PDF format if you wish? Let me know and thank you very much.

Sincerely,
Rich Paz

A.B.R. (ABRe) | 4 comments Sorry for not replying sooner. I didn't see your post until it came in my email. I might be interested in reading your sci-fi story. Can you tell me a little more about it? Length? And whether you want opinion, comments, or proofreading (if I spot obvious typos). As far as format goes, DOC is best. I can convert it to other formats. Send me a private message, if you don't want it public.

Jessa Callaver (jessa_callaver) | 8 comments Well, I figured it might be better for interactive exposure and potential swapping if we all swap as a group (all genres under the same thread); that way we might potentially find a new genre, new author etc that we like, but wouldn't have necessarily selected on our own. Just my thoughts on it. I personally like reading in all genres and would therefore love to read and review a variety of books.
If members want to divide the RS thread by book genre however, that's of course up to you guys.

What do you think?

A.B.R. (ABRe) | 4 comments Your novel the flame does sound like something I might enjoy. Doc is okay. It take a little time read it, lots of stuff going on right now. abr.author @ gmail.com (just close the gaps, I hate spam bots.)

Kenya Wright This is a great idea. I would be interested in doing fantasy and sci-fi books with romance in them. I would love to swap e-books. Email me at wrigkenya@gmail.com, if you have a book that falls under my interests.

My books is an urban fantasy with romance. Warning: There is violence, murder scenes, minimal drug use, and cursing.

Lisa Shafer | 9 comments I would be interested in swapping reviews of YA books if anyone is writing YA.....???

message 10: by Mary (new)

Mary Findley | 29 comments I would be happy to do a review swap. My books are Christian, and some people will not read "religious" books so I will say that up front. I will read anything that is not graphic horror, language or sex, but mild to moderate references are ok. I like historical, mystery, scifi. I write mostly historical fiction, adult romance, YA suspense and and adventure series beginning for younger reader and going up into the YA category. My husband also has a scifi book. Our books are linked from our blog to Amazon and Smashwords and you can read descriptions there. Thank you to any who are willing! http://elkjerkyforthesoul.wordpress.com

I'm really interested in reading and reviewing your book. I have a YA titled D.N.A.-the story of family drama, teenage angst, deaths and mysteries, but think you may like The Fishing Trip better. It is a trial by water, execution and deliverance of retribution. Set in Shiningbal, Texas where the perverted go to disappear; sexual abuse of children is the norm and when the legal system only increases the violation, this isn't the time for redemption to play nice. It's a suspense kind of thing.
You can view my collection here http://amzn.to/wade-inbooks I can send epub (through Smashwords) or PDF. Can't do the gifting think

Alan, Brimstone sounds quite good to me. I love Stevenson and a female alchemist sounds great.
How would you feel about reviewing a humorous book about a teenage vampire? You can read about it at lisashafer.blogspot.com. Leave a comment there if you'd like to swap reviews.

G.A. Johnson | 1 comments Dr. George,
indeed I would. My novel is called The Shiner, and it's on Amazon.com. It's literary fiction and I think I wouldn't be far off in assuming you've read the classics. Hopefully you'll pick up on my allegories to The Idiot, The Waste Land, and the New Testament. If you are interested please e-mail me a ga.johnson@ymail.com. You learn more about my work at my facebook fan page or my website, www.gajohnsonliterature.com.

J.L. Myers (jlmyers) | 2 comments What a great idea. I'd love to swap an honest review for another Author's book to receive an equally honest review in return. My novel What Lies Inside (A Blood Bound Novel) is YA paranormal romance. Please check out the Amazon link to see the cover and read a full description.
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DJLO9P4

I'd be happy to read similar genres, from paranormal to urban type fantasy, romance or not, and adult or YA is fine too. If you'd like to exchange reviews please email me at jlmyers (AT) bloodboundnovels (DOT) com
