Olivia I haven't read the book yet but it sounds good. I was just wondering if it was for my age?

Delaney how old are you then?

Olivia I prefer not to say that...all I want to know is for what age and up?

Caitlin Teens up, there is a sex scene.

Olivia Ok thanks.

Citra definitely adult

Delaney if you get past the adult parts I think teens can have it, I mean teens already know that stuff.

Olivia Maybe I'll try reading it and if it gets bad I'll just put it down or something.

Delaney I don't think you'll put if down.

Connie it's not too bad, the sex scene is pretty mild, I'm kind of young myself and I loved the book

Delaney Yeah me too!

Julia Psht what sex scene? That was barely a sex scene at all! It was all hush hush.

The only reason why it is more adult than teen is because an adult would understand it and appreciate it more than a teen would.

It's like the Kite Runner, yes a teen could read it, but they won't really "get" it yet.

Adult or YA could handle this book. The descriptions are very involved.

I think any kid above 12 would understand and appreciate the relationship in this novel and enjoy the worlds that the Night Circus traverses.

Sara Age 12 and up, you should try this book. I started reading this book and could not put it down! I loved this book, the writing is descriptive and magical. The plot is like nothing I've read before--surreal, abstract and like a dream. Do read this book and let us know what you think!

Veronica It's the kind of book where you know that sex happened but the closest thing to it is it saying something like "He was kissing me and then we were on the floor".

I think YA's would like the book because of how magical it is. At the same time, alot of the ideas/themes in the book are more relatable to an adult than a teenager.

I don't know what age you are but as long as you have a mature-ish mind, you'll love this book :)

P.S. I'm 17 years old if that's any help.

Gordon It's a good book for anyone from 12 on. It's a romance and a fantasy and good in both ways. It's also set in a wonderful world at the beginning of the modern era.

Doreen I would say 12 to 112. I am 50 and loved it. My daughter is 25 and she also loved it.

Alex I'm 14 and I thought it was decent

Veronica Renee wrote: "In fact most 12 year olds are having sex. They probably could go into more of a description than the book does!"

Hahaha! Yeah, it's sad...

I totally agree and it's not something to dwell on because that isn't what this book is solely based on. As Veronica sqid there's so much more to the book then the little sex scene.
