Khalif Sure, why not? It's better than my sister's nickname for me. :D ha ha

Tap is fun!

Yaaayyy! Khali. :D

message 253: by Robin (new)

Robin | 5442 comments Okay, "Khali" works, but I still like "Cadel". It's Australian. XD

message 254: by Khalif (new)

Khalif You speak Australian? Or do you just know that word. What does Cadel mean anyway?

message 255: by Sarah, The Random Nerd (new)

Sarah (agentsd) | 11810 comments Mod
Cadel Lee Evans is an Australian professional racing cyclist.

message 256: by Robin (new)

Robin | 5442 comments It's a name of a book character. I don't think it means anything. It's pronouced "Cuh-del" like "Adele" but with a "Cuh" in front.
I'm pretty sure Australians speak English.

message 257: by Robin (new)

Robin | 5442 comments That's nice, SD!

message 258: by Khalif (new)

Khalif That is so weird. My mom's maiden name is Evans.

message 259: by Robin (new)

Robin | 5442 comments Strange!

Robin wrote: "I'm pretty sure Australians speak English."

That is indeed correct.

message 261: by Robin (new)

Robin | 5442 comments Thought so.

message 262: by Khalif (new)

Khalif Actually, the aboriginees have there own language. It's just that when the English came, they adopted their language. Plus, they do have a dialect that involves words from both the aborriginee language and the english one

Touche. It's just that if you talked to an Australian, you'd be understand what they were saying. It's not like you'd have to say, "Sorry, I don't speak Australian."

message 264: by Jocelyn (new)

Jocelyn (joc113) | 2640 comments ha ha. One guy actually said that to me once. It was on a prank call. I said hello, and he said "I don't speak Australian."

message 265: by Khalif (new)

Khalif Did you have an australian sounding accent?

I'm homeschooled too!

I am too!

message 268: by Robin (new)

Robin | 5442 comments I'm...NOT! I feel like such a fourth wheel!

message 269: by Khalif (new)

Khalif Try being the only person in the doctor who fan club that didn't see a single episode of the sixth series or the holiday special, then complain about being a fourth wheel.

message 270: by Robin (new)

Robin | 5442 comments That doesn't make you any less cool.

message 271: by Khalif (new)

Khalif It does in my book.

message 272: by Robin (new)

Robin | 5442 comments You're book must have a typo.

message 273: by Khalif (new)

Khalif By the way, what happened in that episode

message 274: by Jocelyn (new)

Jocelyn (joc113) | 2640 comments Don't worry, Robin. I'm not home-schooled.

TO WIKIPEDIA! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Doct...

(It ruins the end.)

message 279: by Khalif (new)

Khalif Gee, thanks! And you're right, it does kind of ruin the ending. I think I'll still try to find a video, though

message 280: by Sarah, The Random Nerd (new)

Sarah (agentsd) | 11810 comments Mod
It was pretty good. :)

message 281: by Khalif (new)

Khalif It's a shame about Elizabeth Sladen, though. *Pours a bottle of water on Mom's new carpet and mom gets out her belt* :D

Sarah (agentsd) | 11810 comments Mod
Oh, I know... And what about the second part?

message 283: by Khalif (new)

Khalif what second part?

message 284: by Sarah, The Random Nerd (new)

Sarah (agentsd) | 11810 comments Mod
The... asterisk... part...?

message 285: by Fran (new)

Fran (franswims) | 3422 comments Yeah... Um what did you uh mean?

message 286: by Khalif (new)

Khalif Well, when someone dies, you're supposed to pour a drink in their honor.

message 287: by Robin (new)

Robin | 5442 comments Oh, really? I never knew that.

message 288: by Khalif (new)

Khalif Yeah, and the other thing is that when a boy pours water on his mom's carpet, his mother grabs a belt and continues to hit his backside with it.

message 289: by Robin (new)

Robin | 5442 comments Wait, what? Just in general?

message 290: by Khalif (new)

Khalif What 'what' is what?

message 291: by Sarah, The Random Nerd (new)

Sarah (agentsd) | 11810 comments Mod
Like, where does that come from? The whole water and then mother's carpet thing? That's the what.

message 292: by Khalif (new)

Khalif okay, so when I think about elizabeth sladen, I have to honor her death. So, i pour water on my mom's new carpet. When that happens, I get whipped.

message 293: by Fran (new)

Fran (franswims) | 3422 comments Wait, like literally?

message 294: by Khalif (new)

Khalif No, but if it were to happen, I would get whipped.

TGILT

message 295: by Fran (new)

Fran (franswims) | 3422 comments Oh, okay.

message 296: by Robin (new)

Robin | 5442 comments Why would you get whipped?

{Thanks for the translation, SD!}

message 297: by Khalif (new)

Khalif i get the feeling that none of you are black. not saying anything racist, it's just that black parents will whip you for the smallest thing.a bad grade, making a serious mess, etc.

message 298: by Robin (new)

Robin | 5442 comments You're accurate for me-about both bits. But I used to get spanked a ton.
Khali, I'm really sorry, and you can hit me with a lightsaber if this bothers/offends/makes you throw up, but it kinda sounds like you have a really hard life. And I'm sorry, and we're here if you'd like to type about it...

message 299: by Khalif (new)

Khalif oh no, it isn't. I haven't been whipped since I was ten. all you have to do is learn. infact, my mom threatens to whip me more than she actually does.

message 300: by Khalif (new)

Khalif you know, I'm now starting to hope that my big sis doesn't find this. she's one of those depressed teens (the reason i won't let my kids read teen fiction) that thinks that Mom's the enemy.
