Robinnbastar In the book you see that lisabeth eat billy's pan pizza.
but in the movie (which i saw yesterday) she eat burger instead. McDonald burger to be specific.

there actually one good thing about using Burger in the film. the film did not tell us directly that she is very slim, however, we see that ,instead of regular size burger, she eat a Kid Meal. we saw it twice during the film.

Oh and the movie is pretty AWESOME.....9/10
there was some scene and missing plot that i dont like.

So had anyone see it yet??
:D

Elisa Santos Are you talking about the Hollywood version or the Swedish one? Because in the Swedish one, she eat Billy´s Pan Pizza....but i guess in the Hollywood one, the sponsors had to had a finger in it.

Melanie Most screenplays are between 85 and 125 pages, depending on genre and this is a very large novel. You cannot expect for a movie to do the book 100% justice. Enjoy it as an enhancement to the book, and maybe people that saw the movie will read the book and love Larson's writing as much as we do.

Elisa Santos Yeah - the books are very extensive and the average movie duration is about 2 hours, so they have to cut out a lot.

I agree with you, Melanie: if the movie prompts people the actually read the books, it´s a winned bet.

Valerie Was it as good as the 2009 version?

Colby The movie was pretty good, but I didn't see the Swedish one.

I noticed a few things about this movie. One, they were in Sweden, but they drove on the left side of the car and on the right side of the road, like we do in America.

Also, and I'm going off a guess here, but wouldn't they have different Coke cans in Sweden than here in America? At least the words Coca Cola would be diffferent, right?

And then she bought a suit for Mikael instead of the Elvis decoration. Whaa? That's two entirely different things! So much different!

Elisa Santos Colby - as far as i know, Sweden is not England, so the side of the road were they would drive is the same as in America, as in here; Coca-Cola is an international brand, so the cans are all the same around the world - just the components list is made in the native tongue, but the can, i think is pretty much the same from coutry to country.

Now, that was a major change: buy a suit? That is so not Lisbeth! The Elvis decoration was much more Lisbeth´s thing, taking to mind what Mickel liked....

message 8: by Dee (new) - rated it 5 stars

Dee it wasn't a suit, it was a leather jacket...she has found a picture of him with either his ex-wife or his daughter, and he was weathing this leather motorcycle jacket and she got a replica made for him
