Here is a little something I found out. Book Two, Scarlet, will be based on Little Red Riding Hood. Book Three, Crest, will be based on Rapunzel. Book Four, Winter, will be based on Snow White. But all with the character of Cinder. All this just makes me even more excited!!

Well Jody, Adriana knows already but last week we found out that Archer is developmentally delayed by a year...he's 22months but has the range of a 9-13month old he's language being the worst of everything (doesn't speak at all) and he's got weak muscles which answers why he walks floppy and is still drooling so pretty much we've got a long road ahead to closing the gap for his age...we still waiting on the official report and they are not ruling out any signs of Autism or Ashbergers (is that how you spell the damn thing lol) he's already been doing speech therapy but he's going to need to attend this group called Lifestart who will work really hard and give him what he needs to learn intensive speech therapy, physio and OT...so it was a little devastating to hear but I knew deep down there was something holding my little guy back that's why I pushed for testing nearly 9 months ago so the hard work begins :)

oh Sylvia, Im so sorry. That is heartbreaking for, yourself, family and your little guy. See us mothers just know when something isnt right. So good for you. It sounds like a long road hard road for you, but you will all get through it together, and Im always here to talk too. It must be stressful waiting for the report.

I know a little girl who went to speech therapy, and the mother, a close friend of mine, said it was so vital and just did such amazing things for her little girl. So just keep up hope. I know it is hard though.

Thanks Jody I know I can always come here and talk with you, Adriana, Tara and Barbie (BC Morin) and find comfort and support like we are all here for you too :) it is a little stressful and I'm trying to keep myself busy but I lay awake at night thinking what we have to do and how we are going to do it and will he ever catch up ... all the normal things you think of when you get a diagnosis like this but he is healthy and such a happy boy and is so active he keeps me so busy lol but yeah mother's initiation always works ...

Its the worst time at night Sylvia, when you just lay there and think about things. How am I ever going to do all this. I understand but like you said he is healthy and happy and that is a blessing. Just keep faith that eventually he will catch up. I think he is lucky to have you for his mum, that I know. You will look after him and love him no matter what.

Also, you should see if you have a music group like the one I take Scarlett to, called Kidz Unplugged. Its aimed for young children, with singing, music instruments, dance, bubbles etc. I think music and movement is wonderful. And its all stimulation, which is a good thing. We did have a little boy, maybe about 18mths who had trouble using his legs and he came along. Groups like this could be a great help to Archer. Children just respond well to music.

Thanks Jody your words mean a lot to me and I'm grateful for your friendship :) It's funny you should mention music because Archer loves loves loves music ... he is will watch songs he loves on TV and give me the remote when it's something he doesn't like to change it to a song he know...he will laugh at some clips and then will sing or babble to songs he loves and changes he's tone to suit..it's so cute to watch and he will stamp his feet when he's dancing to the music...it's so cute...but I will look into something like that here...thanks for that :)
