Lucia Cross

She walked in, alone. It was silent. She had never admitted it to anyone in case it affected her status, but she loved libraries, and this one was perfect. She grabbed a good book, then sat down in a chair and opened it to the first page.

[Sarah]

Lucia glanced at her. "Hey there."

"New student, are you?" she smiled. "I am too."

Lucia nodded. "Right. Cool." she paused. "What's your name?"

She nodded. "Cool name. I'm Lucia." She stood up after checking her watch. "I've got a class now. See you around, Athena," she smiled.

[Sarah]

She looks back at her. "I've got History."

Sighing, Zach casually strolled into the library carrying nothing but his ipod. He headed to the very far back and sat at a table within the rows of books, hidden from sight.

She put her own books down and her bag. She took out her must-read list she found over the net. She went ahead and check the the shelves one by one

Zach heard someone shuffling through the shelves and he looked in the direction the noise was coming from.

She tried to pull a book but accidentally pulled a dozen more, books hitting the floor created a noise that echoed inside the library. She stopped and looked around if the librarian would scold her. She found Zach.

"Hi" she said "Sorry about the noise" and went to gather the books she accidentally scattered.

He chuckled, "It's not your fault. It's the books." He stood up and walked towards her. Kneeling, Zach helped her gather the books. "So what made you come to the library on such a fine day?"

Allison walked into the library with Nat trailing beside her, She thought to herself, now where could he be? She looked at Nat, "You see him, anywhere?"

She laughed at his words, "Fine day?" she shake her head "It is a fine way to pick up books." she smiled at the thought and started to pick up the books

He held back a smile, "What's so funny?"


Nat scanned the room and sighed, "No. I don't see him anywhere."

Allison pulled her hand," Well then we have to look deeper." She pulled her to the back. "Okay you go left, I go right. If you find him clap like this." She shows her the clap. "Okay?" she says smiling.

A deep throaty laugh escaped his lips. "You obviously think somethings funny. Or else you wouldn't be laughing."

She gathered the books, "Its the way you talk" she admitted with a smile "reminds me of someone."

Zach noticed her cheeks turn pink and he smiled deviously. "Are you sure it's just a friend, and not something more? Apparently my way of speaking reminds you of someone you fancy. You fancy this person, no?"

Allison laughed, they went their own ways. She looked through every section, until she heard his laughter, coming from the last section. She fixed her hair and put on her smile, and walked by it, but she stopped and hid between the shelves. His was smiling and laughing with some girl. She froze, what was it about this guy that made her feel like this. She took a deep breath. She revealed herself and cleared her throat. "Is that your girlfriend?" She said smirking at him, while walking up to them.

His smile disappeared as he glanced at Astrid then back at Allison.

"I don't 'fancy' anyone at all" she denied but still blushing because of being caught

"What, no Hello?" she says to him. While looking at the girl. "You're Astrid, right?"

"Yep. Wow you are really pretty. Zach's lucky to have you. " She says smiling. God, she was being a jerk , but Astrid was really pretty. Why does she do this when she was around him?

His brows pulled close together. "What in the world are you talkling about, Allison?"

"You two are going out right?" God, she hated herself for this. " I mean the laughing and giggling, plus the blushing. It looks like you guys are." She says turning to Astrid with her pink cheeks.

"How does tha-" He stopped mid sentence and smirked, standing closer to Astrid. "I told you, didn't I? That you seem like the jealous type. And apparently it appears as though I was right."

She knew he was playing with her, " And I told you, you seemed like the guy with a girl always on his arm. And look at that I was right." she smirked back at him.

She reached out to hold Zach's hand and pulled him to whisper, "Are you insane? don't make her cry."

"Allison here, thinks every girl I know happens to be my girlfriend. She always accuses me of course." He looked Astrid in the eye with intensity, "The day I make a girl cry purposely, will be the day I admit that I am insane."

She knew she was getting to him. She could see it in those beautiful brown eyes. She looked as they whispered to each other. She knew they weren't together, but it hurt her so much to see them together. " Hi, still here." She said crossing her arms.

He nodded, "Yup. I can still see you Allison." Zach looked at Astrid then did what she said to. He crossed his arms and sighed, "We aren't together, if that's what you're getting at."

Astrid nodded, "It's noting really. We're friends. He was just helping me with the books" she reasoned out

She feel for Zach, he's such a nice guy to be accused of anything.

"I shouldn't have to explain myself to you" he mumbled low enough so that they wouldn't hear him. He smiled at Astrid in appreciation. "Thanks for backing me up."

For some reason, he didn't want to be alone with Allison. He put his hand on her shoulder, "You don't have to leave Astrid."

"Oh." She said simply as if it was nothing. She looked at Astrid and then Zach. She smiled at him. "Your sister is looking for you." She said clapping the clap they discussed.

Natalie heard clapping coming from the opposite end of the library. She followed the sound through the maze of shelves. That's when she saw him. "ZACH!" She rann to him and engulfed him a hug.

"There." Allison said as Natalie hugged her brother. She looked at them, she wished she could do that to him. Just go up to him and hug him without warning. She grinned at the thought.

He grasped Natalie's shoulders and held her back to look at her. His eyes and voice had softened, "Where have you been Nat?"

She sniffed, holding back tears. "Trying to find you." She snuggled against his chest and he held her tight.

Allison smiled. She never had the kind of relatioonship, with anybody. It made her some what jealous. God, she thought to herself, I am the jealous type.
