Wow, Jon really hated my novel. The authors he quotes - two of whom are friends - do write different sorts of humour. Jon proves how subjective humour is. What one person finds funny, another person doesn't. It's the difference between Lenny Bruce and Jerry Lewis, let's say. God, he would hate Chris Brookmyre. There is nothing anti-gay in this novel. Stereotypes are used with a wink for comic effect. But humour is subjective, let me repeat. If readers don't find it funny, move on. Those who find it hilarious - hang around.
