Pages turning by themselves

I just got a replacement Nook Color from BN to replace a broken one. It seems this one may be messed up as well. When I open my ebook the pages turn by themselves and the tool bar at the bottom pops up. It is really beginning to drive me crazy. I thought it was maybe the ebook I was reading at the time but it happens on all my ebooks. Has this happened to anyone else? Did I just get a bad touchscreen?

I have not had this problem. It may be Amazon sabotaging your Nook so you can get the Kindle. LOL. J/K. It may be the screen itself. Call B&N. Maybe they can trouble shoot

I have that problem every now and then after my kids are looking at books (to many dirty fingerprints). I just shut it off, clean the screen and it usually works.

i actually have this problem on my new first gen. nook but only when i first open it up it will skip ahead a few pages for some reason it is kinda annoying because i will start to read and im like wait i dont remember this lol

I heard from the B & N Nook person to make sure the screen is clean. I had a issue with a book that the page would not change no matter how many times I tried to change pages & it would get stuck in a sort of loop (ex. p.21, 22, 23, 21, 22, 23, over and over). He archived & unarchived the book and it was then it was fine, but he did suggest to make sure the screen stays clean because sometimes dirt or dust or dirty fingerprints can trigger the page to turn. Also, stray presses of another finger or sleeve sometimes can trigger the screen for other touch screen devices so maybe it's the same with the Nook.
