Matilda Rose Okay, I loved this series and Melissa Marr was very good at making me fall in love with her characters and want the best for them, but did anyone think that it ended too perfectly?

I mean, Aislinn. She starts off a terrified schoolgirl, before you know it she's the Summer Queen.
Keenan, Summer King and ends up Winter Queen's Consort, probably oneday Winter King.
Niall, first an advisor, ends up a King.
Irial, was a King, ends up in love and kind of King.
Donia, was a tortured Winter Girl, ends up Winter Queen.
Seth, starts as a plain old guy, becomes son of the High Queen, consort to the Summer Queen, brother to the Shadow King and Dark King, friend to the Winter Queen.
Devlin, becomes Shadow King.
Annie, becomes Shadow Queen.
Rae, never really found ou what happened there but she kinda seems to share Annie's role?
High Queen, gets a son.

The list goes on.
Does it seem too perfect? Everyone seems to end up royal..

Jennifer Dupriest Hmmmm... I guess when you think of it that way... Yeah it is technically a 'Happily Ever After' for everyone...
Also I was sort of confused between the relationship between Niall and Irial?

Yeah. They never really said where that went. I mean, everyone wanted to know, but nothing much was put in, they were behind the scenes.

Rachel I think at the end Irial and Niall both went their seprate ways...wasnt Irial freed from Niall's body in the last chapter?
Anyway who do you think won out over all? i think it was Seth he definatly came out on top.

Actually I don't think they went their seperate ways. He was freed, true, but you should read Unexpected Family.

I think it was a perfect ending, but there's bound to be some disputes, I think. All I can say is that I hope she writes more!

himringvibes In the various short stories Melissa Marr released, it is stated pretty much well that Irial, Leslie and Niall end up setting their relationship pretty good. And Irial and Niall keep living together, though Irial gains a new body of his own.

Yeah, it ends pretty much like a true happy end :) I loved that, but perhaps is due to the fact that most of my favorite series always end up bad, or at least with a lot of dead characters LOL

Sidrah Its about fae... you can kinda guess it was gunna have a happy ending. Also, compared to a lot of other YA books that have a sad/happy ending, this was a nice change :)

Totally agree with you.
It is too perfect indeed, like Disney's princess stories, where everyone seems to meet their happy-end, and only the worst meets their bad...
And to add to it....the royal fey part.

I love Melissa Marr, but I think she can execute the ending a bit bitter than this. And those threesome parts are annoying. Devlin, Ani and Rae threesome is weird enough without adding Irial, Niall and Leslie... :(
