Thanks to everyone who nominated this month!

Some nominations were left out due to incomplete information.

Others were left out due to suspected "pushing", which is not allowed within these group read nominations... My earlier attempts to attract ownership for those nominations did not succeed, so I was forced to make a decision and I stand behind the decision I have made.

Going to set up the polls now. I will let you know as soon as they are open for voting.

It was the big buzz book at BEA this year. Not sure what to make of it.. but seems those who've read are really enjoying it!

message 73: by Yuliya (new)

Yuliya (yuliyalovestoread) | 1685 comments yes! It was on my list - The Night Circus, anyway! So, I'm glad it's club reading! Not sure I can make it this month (it's to popular and library has a big waiting list), but whenever I got it, I will put everything aside to read this book! So exited!

Dee, I know EXACTLY what you mean. I just finished listening to the audio of THE PASSAGE, which was a huge hype book last year and I was so underwhelmed by it...

Lori (tnbbc) | 10620 comments Mod
Haha Krista, I love your goodreads name!

message 76: by Krista (new)

Krista (findyourshimmy) | 382 comments Thanks, Lori! I change it up and have been through quite a few during my time on Goodreads including IKIWIKI, Nayana, my full name, and most recently just my first name. After meeting several other Kristas on GR, I thought it best to distinguish my name a bit further. :o)

message 77: by Cassie (new)

Cassie (CassieWinters) I am super excited. I didn't think I was going to get to participate in any of the book discussions this month on here, but I am going to be able to. One of my friends is loaning their copy of The Night Circus to me and found out the partner has a copy of A Tale of Two Cities. Get to participate in both. SUPER EXCITED. :-) It pays to have friends that read!!

message 84: by Babs (last edited Dec 30, 2011 06:33PM) (new)

Babs Can't wait to get started on Night Circus. It's been recommended by friends in my yahoo group as well as friends here at Bookreads. Not usually my kind of book so a little bit skeptical and a whole lot hopeful.
Trying to finish The Paris Wife this weekend, my first with this group.
