Hi All! I'm Natalie, and I lived in Galway for a few months before moving back to Canada for work. I have an undergrad degree in Celtic Studies. I teach literature at university, am working on my PhD., and worked in an indie bookshop for years, so you can imagine the state of my apartment - buried in books.
I love reading magical realism and fabulism; Gabriel Garcia Marquez and Jose Saramago are two of my favourites in those genres. I'm a huge fan of Flann O'Brien. I also like finding writers a bit off the beaten track, like Ismael Kadare, Panos Karnezis, and Luis Fernando Verissimo. I'm looking forward to catching up on some of the discussions in this group because a lot of the books chosen sound really great.
