Elantriel | 1 comments I am currently reading "Scarecrow" by Matthew Reilly...its the 3rd of the Shane Schofield series. I absolutely loved Ice Station and Area 7 the first 2 installments but unfortunately am stuck on page 71 of Scarecrow. Dont get me wrong the story is great and I love the characters, but unfortunately a friend of mine let slip something that happens about half way through which has made me not want to read on, specifically because I dont want it to happen. I am trying to push on because I know its going to be an excellent book based on the pervious 2 but its hard when you know something is going to happen that you dont want to happen. But I refuse to leave a book half finished so I think I am just going to have to read the rest of it all in one day to get through.

I would seriously recommend Ice Station and Area 7 as they are amazing books and the characters you'll just fall in love with. But do yourself a favour and dont listen to or read any plot points to Scarecrow before reading otherwise you'll most probably have the same problem I am.

Terri (terrilovescrows) | 31 comments I am now reading Sniper by Sari Horowitz and Michael Ruane. It is an accounting of the DC sniper shootings. Definitely has more information than I knew at the time it was happening. Or even from Charles Moose's book.

Peter Medley | 2 comments The Perfect Deceit

An intriguing and fascinating book on how countries vie against each other to be top dog on the world stage. Spies, double agents, love triangles -- it’s all in a day’s work for super spy Alexey! In today’s interconnected world, this book gives an interesting perspective on how much competition goes on behind the scenes with ambitions and stakes running high. Hearts are broken and for some power is gained.

Illuminating book on the espionage sphere. Lots of mind games involved. Great book with high drama. Makes for a perfect summer read!
