I never liked the series in the first place. Boring, stupid, mean and repeat until the last book: Cabin Fever.

hope this helps
I don't read them. I think they are immature and stupid.
But I do agree with Kaylynn, why are they mean?

Does anyone know how to talk in proper english? No offense, but I had to read what you'd typed four times before I understood what you were talking about.
Other than that, I guess I get it.

Mm. You have a point.

Not at all. I have my own opinions, and it is offending you will think otherwise.

It's inappropriate? What r u guys thinking? Are you guys reading the right book? How is it inappropriate and mean? You still haven't showed me any prove.
I think they are ridiculously overhyped and don't really understand why kids like it so much. I did not find it clever or funny. I've read several series in this new subgenre of half book half comic and think this one is by far the weakest. I much prefer Dork Diaries and the Origami Yoda books, at least those had a few genuine giggles.
Micaela wrote: "I think that it's mean so I don't like it."How is it mean? He is teenage boy, and when a teen boy is that way... it is oh so FUNNY!

He would hurt his best friend. Would you ever do that? I have an older bro and he has never hurt any of his friends. Its really mean to make you friend ride a bike and you throw a football at them.
I don't think these books don't deserve a gold star for creativity, but I couldn't sit through the first one...personally for me, the attempted jokes are not funny, the problems this kid goes through are minimal, the book does absolutely nothing for you, it does not enrich you, it's way too fast and meaningless...it's evident I just don't like it.However, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If there are people out there with different standards of comedy that enjoy a young-audience-tagerted fast read, this series is for them.
But in the book's defense, despite my distaste for it, I don't like the way people criticize for the narrator saying certain unmentioned things about his friend or threatning to hurt him and such...it IS a diary, and whenever a child writes in a diary, there are absolutely no restrictions. I have ranted quite a few times about my friends in MINE. It helps blow off steam so you don't take it out on them.
The books are pretty stupid, but the movies are surprisingly amusing, and I like the movie way better than the books... wow that is something I don't often say

Me to!!!!!!!
Frankly, I found this book to be realistic. Not my favorite, but I don't detest it. This is life for some kids. *shrugs*
I agree. The main character was soooo involved in his own ego, I could barely stand to read these books! The concepts are stupid, the plot is Naaasty, and quite frankly the characters are plain stupid.
