Hi Klari,
We had a few people read it. It was a losing book in our group read Polls last year and a couple people read it instead of reading the group read winner, and I know since then some others have read it with mixed reviews.

That's interesting, Linda, considering the recent discussion on authentic names vs modern English names in the Wounds of Honour Group Read thread.
I prefer the real names, not the modern.

The Harbinger: The ancient mystery that holds the secret of America's future
The Trickster

Book hit the ebook shelves about 3 am my time.
July 1--finished Michael Montoure's STILL LIFE. Book should be out July 19. Very talented writer is Mr. Montoure.

I just ordered "Petrus Romanus" from the library, also another of his books, "The Nephilim" which is not shown on GR wgich is rather strange seeing it was published in 2007.

I fixed his name (it was written as Horn, Thomas R. as opposed to how it's meant to be on GR) so it should appear more readily now.

When you finish, let me know what you think.

Keep us posted on what you think of Last of the Amazons as you go, Rod.

Thanks.. are you reading it also?"
Not yet, just adding covers or sites when they are missing.

Could not figure out how to add it..I tried a few different ways

Got it.. Thanks

So I think I will get a start on the last book in Robert Low's Kingdom Trilogy.

I've also made a start on Cecilia Holland's Varanger (Vikings in 9th-century Russia), but I haven't had time to get far with that. It looks good, though.

Happy to! I'll post here when I'm done.

C.P., did you add a review for

Bobby, I didn't, because I am about to interview the author, and when I do that, I don't review or rate the book. I just use the review space to post a link to the interview when it goes live.
I found this book very interesting, though, so I think it's well worth reading. It uses a lot of Scots dialect (as the characters would have), but I didn't have much trouble figuring out unfamiliar words from their context.

I will read the follow up when it is released
I'll post a more complete review later
Gates of Fire Your reviews have inspired me. Picked it up at the library on my way home from work & will start tonight or tomorrow.
