Can't wait for my copy to arrive. If all goes well, in the next couple of days as I've received the 'shipped out' notice. :-)

It's exceeded my expectations."
I have quite a few GR friends who think highly of Orlando. Don't think its something I'll ever get to though. Too many books to read first. :)

This is a German edition or a UK edition, Anell? I have wanted to put that book in the group read polls f..."
My book has this Cover

The german edition is this one:

Also reading Queen's Bounty. Unfortunately, I'm starting to get bored with this series. I will see how this book goes before deciding if I really want to read the last two. Who am I kidding? I'll finish the last two.
Still working on my arc of The Marriage Game: A Novel of Queen Elizabeth I. This is not Weir's best work by a long shot.

I finished the NF Forgotten Fifteenth: The Daring Airmen Who Crippled Hitler's War Machine - good read for WW II buffs and just started David Poyer's latest Dan Lenson novel

It's not HF, but he has written a pretty good trilogy on the American Civil War navies (both North and South)

Yes. I'm finding she's rapidly turning into another PG. She's starting to completely ignore the history and just picking the most outrageous rumors of the time. I'm finding even her NF is taking a turn. She fills a lot of NF with the words "In my opinion" or "Some people believe" and not a lot of evidence to support her opinions and other people's beliefs.

Does anyone happen to know how many books Cornwell is planning to write for this series?

There was a paragraph about a dead dolphin, and his mate, visiting the places the dead dolphin loved and sing for her.
I had a ugly crying fit ... because of a freaking dolphin. Damn I must keep in mind, that the great losses of the Troyan War still lie ahead of me.
;_;

Thanks for the info.
I don't even see how there could be that many books left. He's already 40 or so? by the end of book 6. Too much time passed in books 4 and 5, IMO.
* edit--just finished number 6. It says Uhtred is 45! at the end of the book.

Sounds sad to me! Don't want Dolphins to die. :[

and Jeck's

home from the library today :)

Attracted to it by the "new books" section in the library.

As if we would think that at all Andy.

After Wishart finishes his "political" Corvinus novels, I think the mysteries get better.

This will only be my second, Jane put me onto them, suggesting that i "talk/sound a little like said Corvinus..... !?!?" :D

I'll load you fire..... ;D

This will only be my second, Jane put me onto them, suggesting that i "talk/sound a little like said Corvinus......"
Then you have a lot of good books to look forward to. :D

As a double act we are nearly as good as the 3 stooges or the crazy gang.

and Jeck's

Handy that Mrs happy works at the library. :)

Well you got the crazy part right! :p

This will only be my second, Jane put me onto them, suggesting that i "talk/sound a little like said Corvinus......"
Well, Andy, some of your statements or opinions on here make me smile, much as some of Corvinus's. :)

With all of the waiting room sitting, I've managed to finish Rubicon and The Marriage Game: A Novel of Queen Elizabeth I. One was excellent. One was not.

One tree book for night time reading....one pdf arc for laptop reading....one Kindle for reading at work....both 1066 and Wulfsuna are author requests for read/review....in my spare time I continue to write my own series :-)

finished:

I`m still aggressive! And mean about it!

Which one wasn't, Gretchen? I read The Marriage Game a while ago and quite enjoyed it.

I was not a fan of The Marriage Game: A Novel of Queen Elizabeth I. I felt like I was reading a book about two year olds who have endless tantrums. I think I'm starting to become slightly jaded where Tudor fiction is concerned.

I had a coupon for a nook purchase and it is one that I have wanted to read. Since it is on my nook, I'll be reading it catch as catch can.
