Beta readers are invaluable to me, especially since I write in a language which is not my native tongue. Without their competence and encouragement, I doubt I would still be writing in English. So when I tried to put together a list of resources for beta readers (and writers who work with beta readers) and found out how little is known about beta reading and beta readers, I decided to do some research on my own.

This website is for readers wanting to know how to start or improve their beta-reading skill and for authors wanting to know how beta-readers beta-read: http://www.jae-fiction.com/beta_readi...
It helped me alot when I first started to beta-read. Writing reviews for other readers is one thing, but writing reviews directly to authors to improve their story? A whole other matter entirely. Be prepare to spend hours on that site, it was a great educational experience for me.
I am not the creator of the site or its study. I'm just someone who googled for it.
