Why do we like make believe creatures so much? ie Leprechaun and Gnomes?

First step on the plan was to seek advice from his friends - bad idea.

The next day he changed into his finest clothes, so basically a clean black t-shirt and jeans. Along the way he found a flower patch and bent to pick a bouquet. Gabby will love these, he thought to himself as he added a few more roses and violets to the patch

But, as he was applying his finishing touches he noticed a wild storm approaching from the east

There was once a vicious gnome who had the worst hairdo. He was very sad because he was in love with a gnome who didn't love him back. So he set a plan, how to make her fall in love with him.
