I just hated Finnick for some reason. :/
I don'r know why. He just annoyed me so much!

what the heck woman i cried when he died loser!!!

I don't really think it is applicable......

I was not ever conflicted about liking Gale or Beetee bc of the bombing. They didn't design the bomb to use there. Coin is the loser who did that!

"to cause to turn aside or away from what is generally done or accepted : misdirect"
or
"to twist the meaning or sense of : misinterpret"
that's the sense that I meant it in...perhaps not the exact word I was looking for, but that is what I was talking about...

well, the bomb was used in the exact way in which they intended when they designed it for coin- whether or not they meant for the rebel medics to get blown up, their intention was to injure the weak in order to accomplish their goal. remember in district 13 when they were explaining their new weapon? that's what it was designed for- blowing up children...

Wow. Smack down. lol. yeah. You were right, i was w-w-w-wwrong. lol. :D

Yeah, I remember the whole convo, BUT, are you sure they intended it for children? Like specifically to use on kids????
And do we know for sure that Coin was the one who actually planted the bomb? I mean they never said for sure that it was her...did they?

aw, man, I'm sorry- I didn't mean it that way...I just was worried that you thought I meant, like, sexually perverted or something, so I just wanted to show that I didn't mean it that way...

I meant to add, however, that I did mostly blame coin, and I did somewhat understand gale's mentality of "the ends justify the means," but I was still conflicted...I think beetee was just so emotionally detached that I didn't expect as much...compassion from him as I did gale.

Oh no, I was just joking. I'm so not offended. That's what we say in my family when someone is like really wrong. We just say like smack down or burn and make a joking big deal of it, and force the person that was wrong to say it. :D You did not hurt my feelings at all.

oh, ha ha- I just wouldn't feel very good about myself if I thought I was going around "smacking down" younger people...that wouldn't be cool! :)

haha...well just curious, about how old r u????

that is a very good point- we don't know that it was coin, it mighta been snow...I guess I believed what snow told katniss, but it might not have been true.
as for the bomb, I unfortunately don't have a copy of the third one, so I might be wrong and I can't check. BUT the reason katniss resented gale was b/c it was possible that it was his bomb design that was used. I might be wrong, but I thought that this was based on a snare technique gale used of somehow endangering the young animals in order to draw out the real target, the adult animals. I thought I remembered katniss being kinda aghast when he explained that they were figuring out a way to use this technique on people (using either the young or otherwise vulnerable- sick, injured, etc), and he'd made a comment somewhere along the lines of the ends justifying the means...perhaps someone w/ a copy could double check me on that?

That's kinda what I got from it. I was just wondering if it was specifically designed for those children.

probably too old to be reading the hunger games...26."
haha. Never too old for a book. Besides that THG are epic.

I've read a lot of good things about it on here, thinking about trying to find it...

You should. It rocks. It's the same genre as HG but different enough to be thought about on it's own...if that makes sense....

the gamemakers (not plutarch)
mags
