Katia was a little hurt at the blankness of his voice and expression. Is he mad at me? She only nodded and hugged herself, looking away from him in guilt.

He leaned over and pressed his lips to her cheek softly, then pressed his forehead against her temple. He stayed like that for a little bit, breathing her in. Taking himself away from her, he got up and walked out of the room, and into the living room where his mother sat sewing.
Hope sparked in her when he kissed her cheek, and then she got up from bed and peeked from the doorway to see Kal walk over to his mother.
Kal kneeled down in front of his mother, watching her look up from her sewing, setting it aside. "Mother," he began as soft as he could. "Katia... She needs our help." His mother tilted her head, listening to him intently. "I have to go with her to find her mother. I can't say that we'll be back soon, because we probably won't." He stared at his mother, seeing her face twist to sadness."But..." Serine's voice came out in a whisper, unbelieving his son's words. "Are you going alone?" She watched his son nod twice, seeing his eyes turn deep blue. She knew what that meant. "Oh, honey..." She reached out and cupped her son's cheek in her palm, sighing as he leaned into her touch. "Alright. If you must do this, if this is one quest you must venture on... Then so be it."
Katia was touched at his mother's response. She went back into the room and sat at the same spot on the edge of Kal's bed, waiting for him.
Kal couldn't believe that his mother had said yes. He felt sorrow bite him in the heart, for leaving his family behind. But it was for the girl he now loved, he had to do it. He leaned forward and kissed his mother's forehead softly. "Thank you," he whispered. Serine only smiled sadly, only added more pain in Kal's chest. He felt tears sting his eyes. Getting up before they fell, he raced back into his room.
She saw Kal in tears, and her heart almost shattered. She immediately walked up to him and threw her arms around him, holding tightly. "Shh...Kal..."
Kal wept silently in her arms, his chin resting on her shoulder. He trembled hard enough to pressed his back against the door for support.
She brushed her fingers softly down his hair, whispering words of reassurance into his ear. "We'll be okay...I know we will."
"Promise me," he whispered brokenly in her ear. "Promise me we'll get back okay." He knew the answer to that already, but he wanted to see if she'd tell him the truth.
"I promise," she whispered as tears flowed down her cheeks, but she smiled at him still. "I promise." She cupped his cheeks and kissed him with all her heart.
Kal stood at the end of their porch, hugging his mother's tiny body with all the strength he had in him. He didn't want to leave his family behind. No. But he decided to do it out of love. "I'll be back, mom. I promise." He remembered the sincerity in Katia's promise last night, so he tried to make it as truthful as possible. His eyes were the darkest shade of blue that he'd ever felt. His mother was weeping softly into his shoulder, making him not want to leave. He looked over her shoulder as saw that his father was hugging his siblings on either side of him. They were crying also. Let me get passed this, then I'll be okay.
Katia also hugged his mother and thanked her for all she'd done. She nodded gratefully at the rest of Kal's family, and then placed a hand on Kal's shoulder, rubbing it softly. She knew how hard this must be for him.
He turned around and looked into Katia's eyes, showing a ring of pink around his rises. He sighed deeply and let go of his mother. He told his family that he loved them dearly. Then he went to Katia's side, looking at her, giving her a small smile.
He squeezed her hand until his was white-knuckling her fingers, hoping he wasn't hurting her. "Yeah," he whispered, looking over his shoulder at his waving family. He lifted a hand to wave back, tears pricking his eyes again.
She waved to his family also, before turning and walking into the forest with a deep breath, clutching Kal's hand tightly.
Name: Siobhan GladefallAge: Unknown
Gender: Female
Species: Pixie
Appearance:

Personality: Trouble-making, selfish, greedy, nosy, can be helpful.
Kal walked into the forest with her, clutching his bow and arrow strap across his chest with one hand, the other clutching her hands tightly. Katia also wore a small backpack with water and food.
Siobhan was zooming around the forest so fast that she flew right into fuzzy, peach-smelling things that looked like hair. She got tangled in them and immediately tried to get out. They had been walking for quite a while when Katia screamed as she felt something get stuck in her hair. "Get it off me!" she yelled, frantically hitting at her hair.
Kal paused walking, as he heard a faint buzzing noise in the air. Then he jumped back a step as Katia screamed. He ran his hands through her hair with one smooth motion, and picked out a tiny three-inch pixie. "Ugh, pixies. Nasty little things."
"Watch it!" Siobhan spat at him, fluttering out of his reach. She humphed and made a show of brushing dust out of her dress, even though there was none. "You," she said, turning toward Katia with her eyes narrowed. "You're a half breed aren't you? And you." She turned to Kalen, but her face softened. "Aww, you're in love with her. How tragic." Sarcasm dripped in her voice, though.
Kalen narrowed his eyes at the pixie, a red ring forming around his pupils. He let go of the creature, and grabbing Katia's hand. "We're leaving now." He stalked in the direction of going deeper into the woods.
Siobhan zoomed past them and disappeared into a swirl of autumn leaves.Katia snapped out of it and looked at Kal. "What the hell was her problem?" She chuckled and continued walking with Kal.
"So where you guys goin'?" Siobhan said, reappearing at Katia's side, making her yelp and jump back. Siobhan did a look of mock hurt. "Jeez, relax, half-breed. I'm not gonna eat you."
Kal's eyes turned green, as his hand tightened on the strap of his bow. "Her problem is being too nosy." He spat in the pixie's direction, a flare of red flashing in his eyes, then disappeared as soon as it was there.
"None of your concern," Katia said to the pixie with narrowed eyes. She was starting to annoy her.Siobhan shrugged. "Fine, whatever. I wanted to help you, but..." She faked a sob and turned away dramatically. "Your eyes just looked oh so familiar. Like I've seen them on a woman I know."
Katia stopped dead in her tracks. "What wo─" she turned to the pixie, but she had vanished again.
((MSN? owo))Kal's heart almost stopped at the pixie's words. A lead? Already? When he turned around, the pixie had vanished, leaving a puff of dust in her wake. Nevermind... He sighed heavily, looking towards Katia.
"I think she knows something," Katia said to Kal before turning towards the air. "I know you're still there! Come out already! We're sorry, and we'll accept your offer to help." When she heard Kal grunt, she elbowed his arm.Siobhan reappeared in a swirl of autumn leaves, her pose bored. "You do realize you'll be in debt once I help you, right?"
Kal's eyes widen, looking between Katia and the pixie. "No. We don't accept your offer." He took Katia's arm around her bicep softly, towing her away from the creature for a moment. "Katia, we can't make this deal. The debt is sometimes too high of a price to pay." His voice had turned panicked, his eyes turning a soft gray color to indicate his mood.
"But how else are we gonna do this, Kal?" she asked him desperately. "You expect us to just know where we're going? Because I have absolutely no idea." She gestured to the pixie. "She might actually do."
"Fine. At least let me pay the price." He looked into her eyes, a red ring forming around his pupils. Then his eyes shifted towards the pixie. He stepped around Katia to look the pixie square in the eye. "I accept the debt, just help us."
Siobhan looked at him for a moment, letting him know that the debt will be arranged soon, and then simply turned and flew in a different direction. When the two idiots didn't follow, she stopped and sighed. "You coming or not?"
Kal wrapped an arm around Katia's shoulders, drawing her in close to his side. When he glanced at her, his eyes had gone deep red, letting her know that he was not happy with this agreement. But if it was to find her mother, then so be it.
She winced at the anger in his eyes. "I'm sorry... I didn't know what else to do." She looked down at the ground in guilt.Siobhan eventually slowed her flying, feeling sorry for the two fools.
"It's okay," he whispered flatly, hugging her closer to him. He looked up ahead as he saw the pixie slowing, as they caught up to her.
"I'm taking you to this certain faerie boy I know first," Siobhan said. "We're definitely going to need his help. Just follow me and don't be to slow." She sighed in annoyance and sped up a little, her wings fluttering like a butterfly's.((I'll leave you to make that new competition charrie. xD But you don't have to make him right away. I'm gonna go sleep now. Seeya tomorrow~))
Kal nodded, acknowledging the pixie. He tread closely to Katia, making sure she was pressed against his side. Looking down at her, he pressed his lips to her temple, reassuring her that everything will be alright.
Katia looked up at him and nodded, smiling gratefully. She pressed closer to him and nuzzled her face into his shoulder.Siobhan scoffed. "Lovebirds," she mumbled as they reached a small cabin hidden in the trees. She flew over to the window and knocked on it hard, but it made only little tinking sounds due to her tinyness.
Name: Dain AlfriggAge: Unknown
Gender: Male
Species: Faerie
Appearance:

Personality: Quick, witty, sharp, sarcastic, and sweet when he wants to be.
History/Bio: He is very intelligent, and he has a lot of knowledge. He's been alive for a very long time. In which, he doesn't even remember his parents, or any of his family as a matter of fact. He stays in his little cabin in the middle of the Wildwoods, and only mostly goes out unless the King orders him to. He makes his own food and he has an endless supply of wine.
Other: He has black eyes that fade into red around his pupils.
Siobhan pounded on the glass again. "Alfrigg! Wake the hell up, lazy-ass!" Her leafy wings were glowing in anger.
Kal let his hand run through her hair gently, watching the pixie up ahead. A medium sized cabin came into view behind a poorly cut hedge. It was very much like his own house, but a bit bigger due to his family size.Jerking out of his bed at the loud knocking sounds in his ears, Dain crumpled to the floor, almost knocking his head on the nightstand. "Son of a bitch," he mumbled prettily. "What?!" His yell could probably be heard throughout the whole Wildwoods.
Dain almost went back to bed. He did not want to deal with Siobhan at the moment. "Damn you, pixie! Get the hell out of here!" He shrieked, pulling himself to his full six-feet height. Stumbling through his house like he'd been on a week-long drunk, he made it to the front door. He sighed deeply. "What do you want?" He asked hatefully.
"I think I may have found Lady Arvelia's daughter!" Sionhan whispered fiercely at him, gesturing to the girl. "We have to take her there. Do you know how much fortunes she'll give me? Uh I mean, us? Come on! Look at her eyes!." She grabbed both sides of Dain's face and made him look directly at the girl. "The exact replica of Arvelia's."
Dain's heart stopped at the mention of Lady Arvelia's name. His eyebrows pushed themselves together as he looked down at the bottom of his porch. One Summer fey was standing next to the half-breed. He could smell it in the air that she was part human. As he looked at her eyes, he let a gasp escape his lips. "Damn," he whispered.
"I know!" Siobhan couldn't keep the grin off her face. "We're gonna be rich! We need to turn her in. Are you in this or not? We'll definitely need your help."
Dain thought this through for a moment, but only seeing Lady Arvelia's face in his mind. He remembered making a vow to her that he'd do anything to help her in any way. This could be my chance to prove my loyalty to her. He sighed deeply, his gaze unmoving from the half-breed. "Alright," he whispered. His black-red eyes gleamed in the darkness under his roof.
"Good." Siobhan grinned but then her grin turned into an expression of disgust as she looked him over. He was barely wearing anything but boxers. "For God's sakes, put your clothes on already."
Dain drew his lips back in a sneer, backing into his house then slamming the door in the pixie's face. He went into his room and put on his hunter's pants, amd tight black tank-top. He went through his house, looking for anything he might find useful on this little journey. Kal raised an eyebrow, watching the guy about their age looks-wise. He couldn't hear anything but fierce whispers at the front door. When Siobhan returned to them, he asked, "Who is he?"
"He'll help us. He knows your mother more...personally than I do," she said to Katia.Katia stiffened, and clutched Kal's hand tighter. I'm really going to meet her.
"Don't get your hopes up just yet, though. It's a long, dangerous journey we're encountering." Siobhan turned back to see Dain all dressed and geared up. "Well, I'll let him lead the way for now. I need my beauty sleep." She did a tiny little wave, and then her body turned into a swirl of autumn leaves that were swept away in a sudden gust of wind.
