Pine took a deep breath, that had been stupid, she hadn't realized how powerful Anubis had was. The left out a soft breath, calling all the animals near to her, but forbidding them to come into sight. She was shaken slightly from almost being beheaded by an ax. She took a couple paces back to get out of range and said "Anubis, the wolves hated you, this animals never hate anyone. Why don't you just go back to whatever evil place you crawled out of and leave us alone. What business do you have hunting us anyways?"
Anubis wasn't smiling anymore, but his teeth were bared. He lowered his axe. He slowly closed his eyes and ran his toungue over his teeth. He moved his head from side to side, cracking it. Then, eyes still closed he said, "Do you really think, Pine, that I would have a choice?"
"What do you mean?" Pine asked, was he seriously trying to pull ANOTHER trick over of her? As Anubis closed his eyes however, it dawned on Pine that maybe he WASN'T pulling a trick, maybe another reason the wolves hated him so much was that there was something strange about him, stranger then just wishing harm on them all...
ERICA was taken aback by the sudden movement of the wolves. The more she saw of this guy the more suspiciouse he seemed. She then noticed that soeone had tried to talk to her while she was daydreaming. She noticed a new figure in the clearing. "who are you?" She asked.
Anubis shook his head. 'This is it."
"You Pine, are priveleged. You have free will. You have a body that is your own. You have a soul."
Suddenly his eyes flew open and he stepped closer to Pine.
"I, on the other hand, DON'T. I am a homonoculus. Made from dirt and piss and prayers.
I. am. not. like. you.
I don't GET to have free will, Pine. I am a tool. I was created. I am OWNED. I HAVE NO SOUL, THEREFORE HOW CAN I BE ALIVE?" He stepped even closer. "And if I am not alive, I am dead. Therefore I have no other purpose then to serve.
"I was ordered here by master, for him", he pointed to Inglades. "But the rest of you are just as much of a threat. So you all must die."
"I cannot choose to not kill you. I cannot leave from whence I came, without your bodies in a bloddy heap and your fingers as proof."
"But", he touched Pine's face, smiling again. "I can choose how. Tell me Pine," he said.
"How would you like to die?"

Pine looked down at the ground, shivering, partly from Anubis's touch, partly from what he had just said. She opened her mouth to lat him know how she felt, how HORRIBLE it must be to not be in control. But now was no time for telling her feelings, it was time to stay alive. "I would rather...not die." She let out a sharp breath of air, and animals jumped on Anubis from all sides, covering him in a squirming mass of fur.
The animal's were tearing at him, ripping skin from muscle, muscle from bone. Thsi was actually a little harder then he thought it would be.
Suddenly he screamed. It was a mixture of agony and rage. It went on for the longest time, untill he and the animals we're engulfed in blue fury. Lightning.
Most of them fell off, the other he threw off.
And there he was, same spot but on his knees and bleeding from the mouth among other places.
Anubis spat red on the ground.

((Lol, that wasn't my idea)) Pine smiled, her slightly more pointed then normal teeth showing. Yes, she did have a choice. She spotted the bright tattoo on Anubis's shoulder, gleaming slightly as blood ran over it. Shw drew a small dagger from her pocket and knelt over Anubis, as she started peeling the skin with the tattoo on it off with her dagger.
((yeah, it was Mike's, who is coincidentally not here right now.))

Pine gagged and felt the air going from her lungs, she had to finish. She drew her dagger across the last of the tattoo and hoped that it came off, but she wasn't sure because little dots were starting to obsruct her vision.
Anubis stopped. He dropped his hand, letting Pine go free. His eyes went dead. His head dropped down, and his shoulders went limp. But from his mouth came an almost whistling noise.

Pine shook her head, she couldn't do that, she couldn't condemn someone to her control. but even as she thought that she closed her eyes and cut her finger with her dagger, then cut Anubis, starting to make a tattoo with her and Anubis's blood combined. What was she doing? How could she do this?
Anubis exhaled. The last tiem he had been tattooed, he was alittle more a alert, and it had been from the other side of the playing feild. He really didn't know what to expect after this, but in truth... he was afraid to die.

"inglades, after drawing his sword at the onset of the fight, watched with stunned amazement at the demonstration of anubis's power. as he rose again, inglades said "how can any of us trust you? you just tried to kill us! for the safety of those around me, i must kill you" he spun his sword at his side
"No!" The elf cried, make inglades stop. "Aim for the head if you going to kill him he has to be decipated" The second part sounded more like the elf. "Let me help" As he said this he slowly walked towards anubis with a loong elven blade draw.
Anubis rolled his eyes. He technically couldn't attack them while he was under Pine's control. His they struck first however, he might be able to bend the rules. Just beacause he was 'good' didn't mean he was against killing someone.

"There are many reasons why you shouldn't do that," he said. "One of which is that I will kill you if need be. The other is that you need me."

Shaya had let the others walk foreword farther. Then she heard wepons drawn and yelling, never trust an ambusher.

Anubis darted out of the way.
"She made me her property. She marked me with her name. That's how it works. She my master now." He shot a quick blast or electricity; just enough to stun him while he got to a safer distance.

"STOP" Pine yelled, this was getting out of hand, she had stopped Anubis, and now everyone was still trying to kill him. She wanted to get out of here, and just forget about Anubis, but he was hers now, if she did that, it would just be running away from her problems. Again."Lets just go." She muttered "Elf" she added, looking at Eragon "Anubis is mine, he has to do what I say, and if you slow us from our goal I will let...." She stopped talking and just turned and kept walking down the path, this power trip was going to her head. She couldn't let anyone die because of her mistake. "Lets go, Anubis, don't kill anyone in our party please."
Shaya hissed. She didnt trust Anibus.
Pine turned around at the sound of the hiss and watched, her low spirits sinking even lower, it was impossible for everyone to get along, wasn't it?
"well, there will be plenty of killing once we find the demon, i fear... until then, we must work together" inglades said as he lowered his sword

Shaya stood still. Her eyes fixed on Anibus. Visions of blood and dead bodies flashed through her mind she staggered back.
Anubis knew this would probably happen. He had been greated with the same distain all his life. It really didn't bother him too much.
It was Pine he worried about. He felt as if she was forced to shoulder this heavy burden.
