the demon held up a crown, sized for a human, made of blackened steel with a blood red, faintly glowing ruby set in the front "the crown of power" the demon said "take the offer, or let your friends die as you watch"
after several long moments, inglades raised his face to look the demon in the eye "deal"
Raziel relaxed the grip on his spear, but was reluctant not to get in a fight.
Scorch groaned loudly. "Don't you know!" she screeched. "This is the perfect fairytale! You don't just go around making deals with a blood-thirsty demon!"


Raziel stepped in front of Scorch, spear at the ready. He wordlessly blocked her path.
Raziel ignored what Scorch had said, and instead took a taunting swipe at her with his spear.

As Inglades was led into the tower, and the rest of the companions were discussing what to do, a Shadow detached itself from the shadows of a nearby building and slowly started to follow Inglades into the tower.

Scorch gripped her fists so hard she cut herself, and small trickles of blood began to flow down her palms.

Scorch decided that her hightened senses might come to use. She knew that Inglades was right next to her cell, separated only by some cement. She pressed her pointy ear to the wall to listen.
Shaya sat in her cell focusing on somthing anything to help them.

"have you heard of the kingdom of Arngrim? how it was obliterated by waymeet for the sole purpose of expanding it's borders?"
