inglades ran with pine down towards the dungeons, heading for the exit. he had made it to the dungeon, when the terrible shadows became too much. he heard an unearthly wailing, and the shadows came closer. the room went cold
dalamar slumped against the wall, collapsing to the floor. he reached in to a pouch with shaking hands, holding a green potion in his hand. he barely managed to uncork the potion
Shaya ran after Scorch when she heard hte screaming. Shaya was catious and scared something unnatural was near.
inglades felt a bead of sweat trickle down his face. he had never been so afraid. he stood back to back with pine, his sword raised, glowing with a pale, wholesome light. he waited for his death.
Scorch turned around, tossing her a hand grenade. "Don't use it unless absolutely necessary." she muttered through gritted teeth.
Shaya felt the thing grow close around her she screamed as she delt coldness ripping at her her palms exploding with water.
dalamar drank the potion, spilling as much as he got into his mouth. it didn't matter. the wound closed over, not as much has he would have liked, but enough
"Scorch!" Shaya screamed running water flowing behind her.
anglachel, the fine sword that had never failed inglades yet, came down into a shadow, scattering the smoke. it re-formed. despair swept in on ingades like a black tide. he would at least die doing something worth his life. he would get pine out alive. "run" he said to her
"Dont you feel it?" Shaya whispered looking at her. "The coldness, see the shadows and feel them ripping at you?"
(oh) inglades gave a war cry, his voice resounding in a sonorous roar as it echoed off the walls. he was beyond fear now. he charged towards the shades, hoping to buy pine enough time to escape
Shaya turned as well her short dagger in her hand. She stared forwards concentrating hard on seeing hte shadows.
inglades saw the shades part, and between them stood a man in black armor, giving off tendrils of inky blackness, holding a pale sword
inglades didn't hesitate, charging in at the swordsman. their swords darted around them, flashing silver as they executed perfect strikes and parries, counter strikes and counter parries
"NO!" Pine yelled. She braced her feet and took out her small dagger. She called to animals with her mind but none responded. She didn't understand this place, therefor, she hated it. She hurled her dagger at the demon and it simply bounced off. She cursed and found no option but to turn and run.
inglades felt his body perform fighting forms he never would have dreamed of before. he relaxed, he laughed. he laughed in exultation as he countered flawlessly every attack that came his way. he felt the pale sword slide in through a chain link in his armor, and tasted blood in his throat.
inglades pushed foreward, his sword thrusts cutting his way to his enemy. a trickle of blood came down out the side of his mouth, and his entire left side was soaked in blood
inglades executed a perfect attack, slicing neatly into the warrior's throat. a moment later, he felt a searing pain in his back, and a wraith's sword stuck out from his chest
Scorch crawled through the horde of enemies, groping around for him. Finally, her hand struck his neck, and she patted over until her hand was on his face.
Scorch snorted. "Enough with the gibberish." she ordered, reaching for some of her healing herbs.
(i think he should die here... i don't know, i like inglades, but he should at least be able to die)
"est sularus oth mithas!" he cried again, standing, despite the excruciating pain it caused him. he had sworn to get the others out of here, and by the gods he would. he swung his sword with a weak limb, but it flashed white as it hit the wraith, dissipating it.( i keep going back and forth with inglades...)
(by the way, in solamnic, est sularus oth mithas means my honor is my life, just thought it was something to be mentioned)
Anubis fell to one knee. He grimaced and held his head. The strain from ignoring Pine out of his mind and the screaming voices in his head was getting to much to bear. He knew Pine was in danger, but he had to leave. The farther away he was from her, the worse it felt.
The voices in his head were illegible, but if he tried hard enough, he could probably understand them.
The gods were screaming.
He hoped the Greenteeth was near by. If she new he was looking for her, she might come to find him.
He stood, and the screaming got louder.
"Deliver me", he thought, but no deliverance came. He continued to walk.
