Erica set about making a stew out of the food by the pot. She was totally exhausted at the end. She so hoped that the rest of them were alright and that she would see them again.
Pine narrowed her eyes, the chill was spreading around her, she would not let this stranger not let her through. She was sure she could beat this stranger by herself. She could let this human stand in her way. Anyways, she had Anubis alongside her. "What reason do you have to not let us pass?" She asked. The chill in her voice making it slightly hushed.
((Is Dalamar a human? You didn't put a character thing up, so I was just assuming, sorry if he isn't))
((he's a dark elf, he looks like a normal elf (you read the dragonlance legends books zarha! you know about dalamar the dark!)) "because you lack the official permission of the orders of high sorcery to investigate this site"
((Sorry, I thought you just named him after Dalamar, sooo just ignore that human comment, unless you want to bring Kitiara into the rp too :P ))"Official permission?" Pine sneered, "This place is a ghost town, what site is there to investigate?" She beckoned Anubis with her mind and brushed past Dalamar.
((maybe i will, zarha, maybe i will...))dalamar sneered, tightening his grip on his wand. "don't tell me you don't feel the power of this place! the necromantic power is strong here"
dalamar tucked his spellbook into a hidden inner pocket of his robes, drawing his now free hand up towards scorch. "shall i demonstrate, why you should perhaps fear it?" he said with a wicked grin as a crackling ball of blackness appeared in his hand, and at the same moment activating the wand, preparing to loose some of it's stored energy, the slender shaft of wood crackling with magical electricity
dalamar sighed, then said in a deadly quiet voice "so why don't you all just back away, and leave this tower before it's master discovers us"
"well, it seems that the easiest thing for all of us is that you leave, then i can conduct my buisness"
dalamar pulled out a stick of chalk, scratching down runes frantically on the ground. the circle had to be perfect, the transportation rune had to be perfect, the binding rune had to be perfect, all of the runes had to be perfect.
Pine had slipped away, hoping she was unnoticed. She had meant to leave and find Erica, but she had passed a room that the chill inside of her seemed drawn to, so she looked around surreptitiously and made her way into the room trying to be non-chilant about it, whitch wasn't very helpful in a creepy tower.
"Leaving has been very high on our priority list." Shaya said glaring at Dalamar.
inglades limped after pine. he had to find erica, and it was a bad idea to wander alone in such a tower.* * *
dalamar heard the squeak of armor as inglades left the room, his eyes going up for a split second. when he looked back, he saw that his rune was off by half a centimeter. "d'arvit!" he swore, not caring if the others did or did not understand elvish
Pine turned around to see the knight limping after her. Had he seen her? For some reason she didn't want herself to be seen, even by her companions. She backed into the shadows, hoping that Inglades would pass the doorway.
dalamar stood up in a panic. "you don't understand the significance of what just happened! run! run!!!" dalamar grabbed the chalk, putting it in a secret pocket of his black robe, taking out his wand.
Shaya's mouth droped open, "You know your not the onlyelf here right?" She said, her fists began flooding with water, a plan was forming in her mind.
"it doesn't matter right now! run!!!" dalamar was ready to run himself, but he couldn't yet. his choice was made for him, however, when a faint red glow came from the hallway he had entered from
Scorch began to run, without looking back. She had learned from a lot of experience that when someone tells you to run, you run.
Pine heard footsteps in the distance, but she stayed where she was in the shadows, holding her breath, what was going on, had they found out she had gone? She slunk deeper into the shadows and held her breath, waiting for the storm of feet to pass.
"Oh man." Shaya said and ran after Scorch and Dalamar. Water faought to fly from her palms. She looked behind her regreting that she did so.
Pine stood still as everyone ran past her, what was happening, should she run? Her mind was a whirl and she had no idea what to do.
((i assume that everyone else is running too)) dalamar threw up a ward on the doorway, not that he thought it would do much good. a moment later, he was sprinting down the hall after the others, his well muscled body easily closing the gap between him and the others* * *
inglades was grimacing with the pain of his wound, but at least he was alive. "pine!" erica! anyone!" he called
Pine heard a call and started towards it. She hesitated for a moment, she wasn't sure whether to go, the chill in her was saying no, but her mind told her she should go investigate. She took slow steps towards the sound and saw Inglades there. She stayed far back, but asked. "Do you need help?"
(you mean dalamar?) dalamar spun around at the voice, but relaxed when he saw that it was scorch the sprite, not the daemonlord, to whom he had devoted years of study to. "scorch, or whatever your name is, you rally should leave." at this, the floor shook slightly, making dalamar understand fully what he had done. "if it makes you feel better, i'll be happy to get out of her if i survive this" he felt the ward he had placed vanish
Scorch rolled her eyes. "I noticed." Her slender frame was bloodied. "Ran straight into an invisible wall.
(i mean the one placed against the daemonlord) inglades felt the floor shake with a feeling not of dread, but of grim resignation. he hadn't expected to get out alive anyway
