Rob's Big Book Challenge

I am going to try for 10 bigger books in 2012 out of the total of 50 books for the year. One guarantee is Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley at some point next year.

So I have my first 5 over 400 page books for 2012 picked out.


1. Mists of Avalon
2. Clash of Kings
3. A Storm of Swords
4. A Feast of Crows
5. A Dance with Dragons

Slight change in order here but my first book for this challenge is Labyrinth by Kate Mosse which is set to be read in January :)

My first two Big Books of 2012 will be Eragon and Pope Joan! Both are scheduled to be read in February!

Just finished my first Big Book of the year! Eragon by Chris Paolini. 497 pages :)

Looks like my next book is the one I am reading now for review from NetGalley called "The Book of Lost Fragrances." I will post a review closer to the review date even though I will finish it before then. (416 pages)

Thanks Deb! Not sure how I feel about this one frankly. The typo errors and basic mistakes that are all over the book are driving me NUTS! lol

Finished Book of Lost Fragrances! Unfortunately 16 pages short of 400 pages but that is ok. Working on my next big book pick. Not sure quite yet.

I just finished book 3 in my Big Book Challenge! Read "City of Bones by Cassandra Clare (485p) Got 7 left to go for the year and after I finish Sisters Red I will be reading City of Ashes:)

Halfway through my big book challenge! Finished City of Glass last night (541 Pages). 5 more to go!

Wow! Well done Rob! You are doing far better than me!!! All the books I have picked up to read always get me to about 380 pages but not quite to that 400 page mark!!!... :-)

Finished another one today. "A Secret Alchemy" is done and I forgot to post about book 7 which was "Heresy" by SJ Parris

Book 9 is done! The Mephisto Club by Tess Gerritsen. I am reading book 10 right now and will most likely do more than the 10 I set out to do for the year but I do not want to increase the goal at this point:)

I am DONE my challenge for big books and looking back on it, none of the ones on my list got read but I have time for the year :) WOOHOOO! Book 10 was Seraphina by Rachel Hartman...GO PICK IT UP IT WAS AMAZING!!!
