Okay, so I noticed this a couple of weeks ago and was just reminded with this afternoon's ABC family episode. Have any of you noticed the importance of the "June 3rd" date? When Rory was arrested her court date was June 3rd. When Luke and Lorelai set a date for their wedding it was "June 3rd" and when Lorelai was drunk at Lane's wedding she kept talking about what date she would not get married on "June third..."
So what's the deal with June 3rd? Random date and the writers didn't realize the repeat of it? Or is it a signifcant date and is a secret message for someone?
I thought it was just cross-referencing to itself -- the wedding date was just coincidentally the same as the date for Rory's court date and then the ramble about the date she would not get married was because the wedding wasn't/hadn't happened. But now I'm curous to know if there was another June 3rd mention -- one? more? Interesting to think there might be a message to all those uses of the date.
