Fever series - Shadowfever question

Please help me out,I'm going out of my mind ATM

I'm waiting for Shadowfever to be delivered (long story I didn't think it was pulished yet but it is) So i read the first 2 chapters on KMM website.

Now my question: Is Barrons really dead? Does he come back?

I don't want to know anything else, just he isn't really gone is he?

Just because that is what ruined my reading experience in January I'll tell you he is not gone (as in no further mention of). You will read about him more.
