Kimberly, you will love the owl book. I have been yapping about that book way to long. finally people are reading it. Better late than never.

Might I ask if either of you know other books like it that you'd recommend?

Kimberly, there are book sites where you can find books that are like ones that you like. I wish I could think of the name of one right now. I know that my public library has a link to at least one of them so you could try that.

Not me either. It is one of a kind.

Here is the book about the parrot: Alex & Me: How a Scientist and a Parrot Discovered a Hidden World of Animal Intelligence--and Formed a Deep Bond in the Process. I fo not think it is as good as Wesley.

Let's see what you think of this?! It sounds a bit sad giventhe illness that occurs.

Now to finish The Apocalypse Gene

Then maybe I can start the December challenge finally!

Its pretty good thus far. I read about 45% of it last night and I like the way he writes, It's very different than the movie thats coming out based on it.

Thanks, Kiberly.

Sounds like a book I'll have to check out.

[book:The Postmistress sounds really interesting Janice! Looking forward to hearing what you think of it.
I'm currently reading a dirty old Zombie book The Unwashed dead, and then....I'm not sure!

Happy to add to your TBR shelf :D

The Unwashed dead looks good Kat :)

The Postmistress has been on my shelf forever!

They look good, but the question is do they smell good? LOL! (Just funnin') :-)"
They certainly don't smell good.....they need a good hosing down!

Zombies on Ice? :)

I thought I was teasing you, but it was Kat reading the Zombie books. I was confused. *blush*

Looking forward to hearing what you think of Looking for Alaska I've been meaning to read that one.

Umm, not really Judy. Adventure, yes. Memoir, no. It's fiction.

Judy, I will be done with that book in a day or two, I have heard more than half. Only 3 more hours of listening to do. SO far I think it's awesome. But I have heard some people aren't too satisfied with the latter half, so I should reserve my judgement till I finish it.

Now I will begin The Tricking of Freya. What do I think the book is about? A multigenerational saga filled with Icelandic myths, legends, culture and landscapes. Good writing. Exploration of family secrets. I hope I am right.

Looking forward to your review of The Tricking of Freya Chrissie.
