Okay so I just started reading .. and I'm totally addicted to it.. to me this is an original story its so imaginative makes me kinds jealous....

Just started Up Jumps the Devil . I have a personal challenge this year called "batting clean-up" where I'm finishing everything I have not yet read of authors I'd already read most of. Margaret Maron is one of them. It's been a while since I read her-- I'd forgotten how much like her!

About 2/3 through Maybe This Time . The premise doesn't really appeal to me but despite that I can't seem to put it down. I'm remembering that I love Jennifer Crusie and I cannot understand why I let so much time go by between reading her books!

I just started The Homecoming of Samuel Lake. So far so good! Just picked up 2 holds at the library, Iron House and New York to Dallas and hoping to get through at least 2 of them during the Thanksgiving break.

I just finished The Night Circus by Erin Morganstern, so I am returning to The Revisionists by Thomas Mullen, which is already in progress. Also, I picked up from the library yesterday Clara and Mr. Tiffany by Susan Vreeland on audiobook. Hoping for another Loving Frank (!?!)

The Homecoming of Samuel Lake was one of my favourite books this year. I loved it.

I won mine as an advanced reader copy as well. :) I started reading it when we left for Vegas and I finished it before we arrived. My nose was stuck in the book. I enjoyed it as well. What a cliffhanger ending! Yikes!

I have begun my first audio book A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. I had planned on rereading it, but instead I will listen to it. I don't want my first audio to be difficult. I want to enjoy the whole experience.

I hae just finished a very, very good book: Catherine the Great: Portrait of a Woman. I highly recommend it. My review folows: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/.... Let me just add that it is long and it does have a lot of history in the book. This is simply because she was a powerful leader. You meet her a a leader and as an individual. I admire her tremendously. I learned so much. I did get tiored at points when I felt I was drowning in the history, but that is only due to my own ignorance. I believe that every time you reread this book you will appreciate it more. If you knew what this woman did. And in private she wanted no fuss, no impoliteness. A very intriguing woman that this author has done an excellent job in bringing to life.

I am loving it. I thought I would get distracted. I do not. I thought I had to do something with my hands. No problem, I just sit and listen. In fact I think I enjoy it more due to the narrator's voice infexions. I am so pleased.

Audiobooks are great with the right narrator - I used to listen to audiobooks while sewing (as long as it wasn't something complicated it was fine!)

Adible has a Black Friday sale on right now. Selected books are $4.95. I bought Crocodile on the Sandbank. I don't know how long the sale is on.

I've got, oh, 24 Audiobooks that I haven't listened to yet. I don't think I should venture over to Audible!

Kat and Judy, I am so happy with the audio experience. I am not doing anything, except just plain listening. I write notes sometimes of who is who...... I am scared that if I were to do something I would miss the details or a beautiful sentence. I guess I should try that too. But now I am simply lmistening from the computer. Idiscovered that Audible audios can be listened to on the Kindle too.

Back to the audio book discussion - I am totally hooked. I love the chance to read more books than I can get to the old fashioned way. My son is in middle school and I have to sit in a carpool line and it is a great way to pass the time and I'm not distracted when it's time to start picking up. My favorite adult audiobook is When You Are Engulfed in Flames. Right now I'm listening to The Maze Runner and have The Scorch Trials waiting.

I have had that same question for a while. I am reading a Torey L. Hayden book. My Husband just bought me nearly all of them on Amazon and I love them. For me its not the cover, Arther or anything to do with films. Mainly for me its the topic, what is it written around...who, what, when an where it takes place. I have to read like the first few pages to see if ill even like it. But one I know I will love is any book that catches my attention just by reading the back cover :)
