Yeah, I'm thinking we should do a classic every quarter (3 months) vice a month. All in favor?

to your list? Maybe it's already on it, but I've always wanted to read this book and it may be good for a buddy read

I concur! A classic a quarter sounds good to me. Officially, we aren't to start this until the 15th, but I listened to the first few chapters. I plan to listen to them again, as there are tons of characters in this book; I want to keep straight who did what to Dantès and why. I will probably whittle away at this little by little. There are 73 chapters.

OK, so I read the first five chapters and am really enjoying the story. When I saw that Lisa Kay's e-book is 1200 pages, I realized I am reading **gasp!** an abridged version. I can't seem to find an E-version that is unabridged...the volume I downloaded from the library is only 511 pages...so looks like this reader is going to have to buy a doorstopper!

We should get started on our picks for the next Read A Classic for April-June. Anyone have any books you want included on our next poll? We'll try to limit the number of books to vote on to 6? maybe? Preferably books with less than 1200 pages. lol

Well, Jane Eyre won the April - June Classic read. I'm sorry I'm so late at getting to this but I forgot. I've been having a lot of allergy headaches and my mind hasn't been on this like it should. Please forgive ☺I'll go start a thread for it.
