Lea (Peeta's #1 Fangirl!) Did anyone else not understand MJ untill they read it again? Like the mission and Coin's death. They didn't make sense untill I read the book again.

Susie Warner i was confused when all this random stuff started happening in the war. like, why would she go to distict 2 JUST BECAUSE she was going away from peeta who tried to kill her in the beginning!!?!?
actually, i'm still confused.

Lea (Peeta's #1 Fangirl!) Well she didn't really want to be around him. Brought back painful memories and how he's never going to be the same. Plus she wanted to mourn him in peace.

Emy I kinda got it. But I didn't understand some things and since my sister read the and she understand it. So I told her and she explain it to me.

i know that katniss didnt want to be around peeta b/c it'd be too sad, but why not another random district like 10 or something?

AJ Because District 2 was where the fighting was and they needed her to go and inspire the troops. And, like has been said before, she wanted to be away from Peeta because she couldn't face him the way he was.

The thing that still confuses me is why she said she wanted another Hunger Games with the Capitol's kids. Still not sure what her motivation was for that.

Richard Revenge, obviously.

Alex I believe that she agreed to the Capitol Hunger Games in order to gain Coin's trust. The vote on whether or not to have another Hunger Games was a test to see if Katniss would fall in line with the new leadership.

Remember that Katniss suspects that Coin is responsible for the bombing that lead to Prim's death. This was done to break Katniss's spirit. She votes "yes" to the Hunger Games precisely because a healthy and sane Katniss would never have voted for a new Hunger Game. By convincing Coin that she is broken, she is able to position herself to ultimately assassinate Coin.
