I'm a lover of all things hard-boiled, noir, and pulp. And the seedier the better. I put out my debut novel, Harry's World, last year, and it is hard-boiled Sydney. I'm a former Detective Sergeant and ICAC Officer, so plenty of good stories to tell.
Most importantly, would love to discuss my themes more with interested readers. Feel free. ABP

Bloody Paradise My new thriller, BLOODY PARADISE, is tropical pulp. Trav Mitchell lands on the Thai resort island Koh Samui with a broken wrist, a bag full of cash and an angry Hong Kong crime boss on his tail.

THANK YOU!!

And as a former probation and parole officer, I have plenty of seedy material to work with! My current novel is a noir suspense/crime about a woman who travels back in time to undo a murder she committed 20 years ago, but of course things don't go according to plan.
It's nice to be in a group who won't think I'm weird for not wanting to write happy endings.

We are building eBooks of classic pulp fiction stories from some of the greatest of the pulp fiction masters of the twenties through the fifties in Crime, Sci-Fi, Western and Adventure genres. (Horror is waiting in the wings...)
We are finding stories by individual authors from the classic pulp fiction magazines, digitizing them and turning them into ebooks in both .epub and .mobi for all eReaders. We take special care to include all those great illustrations too.
Our most recent crime fiction is "An Orange for the Killer" by J. Lane Linklater which has three of his novelettes from the 1940s. Pretty good entertaining stories.
My favorite crime stories though are the Dan Turner stories by Robert Leslie Bellem. We have several collections of those stories available with several more on the way. They have GOT to be partially tongue in cheek. You just have to check out the post about the Dan Turner stories to get an idea of this character.... But they're good crime stories underneath the "pulpy" exterior, so they're well worth a read.
As I write this we are working on the Adam Link: Robot stories by Eando Binder which was a highly popular sci-fi series in 1939-1942. Some pretty wild adventures by this "sympathetic robot."
Certainly one of the reasons for me to write this introduction is promotion, but a more important reason is feedback. We have a treasure trove of these classic pulp fiction magazines, and as you can imagine there are a zillion authors and characters available for us to make into eBooks. We'd really like your suggestions. Which authors or characters do you want to read?
I hope I haven't overstepped any bounds, stepped on any toes or stepped in it in any way. If I have, mea culpa. If not, come visit the http://PulpFictionBook.store and let us know what you think.
Thanks, AG

Thank you
Vittorio

Best of luck, Don. That cover is both attractive AND creepy!

Thanks for the encouragement, Melki. Here's a link to my blog discussing that cover: Link
I almost couldn't use it.

My latest one is the most personal one to date (and the longest, fair warning), and it's about Robert B. Parker, the Spenser novels and Ace Atkins.
I hope folks will take a look, and I hope everyone enjoys it. It's the ninth in the series, so if you do, there's more to watch and a new one every week.
Thanks!

Title: Ravens In The Rain: A Noir Love Story
Authors: Christie Santo & Jeff Santo
Genre: Contemporary Noir Romance / Psychological Thriller
Back Cover Blurb:
Ravens In The Rain is an unconventional noir between a woman with a past and a man with no future where love is no fairy tale. Carney and Pru, down on luck and down on love, meet over a game of chance, and the mystery of the other’s intentions, compounded by their overwhelming attraction toward each other, compels them into a game of cat and mouse. They ante up and play this game of love or survival that has you wondering who’s the villain and who’s the hero and how it will all play out. When murder is brought to their doorstep the game gets serious.
A psychological tale between a poet and a filmmaker that has even the cat wondering if it's really the mouse, what is real, and who is telling the truth. Is love on the table? Or is it life?

Neighborhood Watch
Spanning from 1936 to 2020, the interconnected stories crisscross back and forth across America and weave through the lives of average Americans with direct, and sometimes indirect, connections to crime. A college student interviews female killers as research for his thesis. A thief specializes in a certain macabre brand of merchandise that he sells exclusively on the Darknet. A husband and wife swinger team get in over their heads during an out-of-town weekend tryst. With stories written in narrative and editorial styles, Raistlin Skelley presents an unflinching look at the lives of average Americans and their dark past-times with a sharp morbid wit, furious unflinching hard-boiled detail, and a flagrant disregard for moral and social norms.

Seventeen Words for Rain by Douglas Morrison
Seventeen Words for Rain
Hi all,
I have just published my fourth book, and it is a bit diff from my previous.
To begin with I had it edited for errors, which is a first :)
Second, its a very short read.
Anyway, here is the blurb!
Two Noir stories set in a distant, decaying world.
The first, a stranger comes to town, a bad man, in a town facing its last days. When he leaves, there will be a trail of bodies, some deserving, some not so. And one person facing a hard choice.
The second, an insight into the dark past that helped create the man and the world.
A mixture of Sci-Fi and Classic Noir in a future Dystopian Society.
Anyway, it is free on Kindle Unlimited and worth a read, probably.

As a bit of a follow-on, I intend to publish a book a month as a ongoing storyline for the next 4 to 5 months. I am already part way through the next story and ahead of time.
Equally if you read it and have some input or ideas, throw them in the pot, I am always happy to discuss.

Emily Quinn review of the book...
An intense, fast-paced crime thriller
This book was exactly what I needed to read; a short crime thriller that really packs a punch. It's gritty, fast-paced and pulls off an intense and suspenseful plot with style. It was so easy to binge-read!
Despite it being a shorter read, it has everything you could want; characters you love and love to hate, a complex romance, gun fights, car chases, gore, death, you name it. The author’s writing style had me gripped, with descriptions that effortlessly transport you into any scene. A thrilling, intense and engrossing read. Can’t wait to read more from this author!

I've just released The Santa Alvera Murders, a mystery thriller with heavy pulp influences. In fact, I dare say it is my version of a "modern" pulp novel. This is my first fiction book, but it has been very well received by readers so far, and I'm quite proud of it.
Here's my blurb:
Haunted by a troubled past, a mysterious woman arrives on the island of Santa Alvera for music, daiquiris, and a chance to disappear. But when a string of eerie, almost otherworldly murders grips the island, relaxation turns to obsession as she sets out to track down the killer.
Entangled in a dangerous game of deception, misdirection, and greed, she must solve cryptic clues left behind in the books of a long-dead writer to uncover the true motive for the killings.
But when the killer turns his attention to her, she must use her wits, courage, and a pair of .45 caliber handguns to put an end to him before her own dark secrets become exposed.
The Santa Alvera Murders is meant to be a fun read and I hope you will enjoy it!
It is available on Amazon and is currently available on Kindle Unlimited.
