Melody walked into school as she sholdered her bag, keeping her head low. She hated new school terms, everyone always came back hyper and over enthusiastic which gave her a head ache. She went to her locker and swapped some books before going to her first class.James walked down the street heading for the garage up ahead. Once there he went round back to change into overalls and start repairing cars. He loved repairing cars, but today was just not his day. He slid under a car and started tinkering.
Mr.Vasquez was walking along the hallway looking at all the students.Everyone seemed so enthusiastic about coming to a new tern.He smiled to himself.
Skye cursed as she got her car towed to a garage as it broke down.Her legs were more reliable than her stupid car.she thanked the man who'd towed her car to the garage,"hello"she called.

Melody heard the morning bell go and headed for class, some jerks trying mess with her, but she snapped at them, making them scarper. She smiled to herself and arrived at her first class, going in and sitting down.James heard one of the guys bringing in a car and continued to tinker, when he heard a sweet voice. he rolled out from underneath the car and stood up, whipping his hands on a cloth. "Yes?" He asked.
Mr. Vasquez was already in the class as students started to come in.he looked at them all,particularly noticing a pretty brunette girl who seemed quiet and by herself.
"could you please help me?"she asked the handsome,blond guy who'd answered."my car broke down all of a sudden"she said frowning lightly and tucking a stray strand of her hair behind her ear.

Melody sat and got her things out, looking up at the teacher, the started writing down what was on the board, ready and waiting to be taught. James smiled and nodded. "Or course I can miss." He said noticing she looked quite pretty. He nodded in understanding and walked over to her car, checking under the bonnet before checking under the car. "Yep the combustion valve is gone and the oil chamber's been tampered with." He said.
He began teaching the first lesson for the new term.he started writing the important points down on the board as he explained.
"gone and tampered with?"she said and frowned again,"how long will it be till it can be repaired?"she asked him."i live a long way from here"she said.

Melody listened and wrote things down before her mind started to drift about being outside and drawing, subconciously she started doodling with out realising.James slid out from beneath the car. "Yep someone put sugar in the oil chamber." He said. "Well lets see I will need to get a new valve and clean the oil chamber... So about 2 weeks if im lucky." He said.
He noticed the brunette girl looking dreamy but said nothing and went on teaching.he seemed to be doodling and he almost smiled to himself,he'd done that a lot when he was in school.
She groaned,"i can't believe someone actually did that"she said,"2 weeks seems really long and i don't have a place to stay"

Melody was now focused on drawing her picture and was forgetting she was in a lesson and should be writing down, when a guy passed her a note to pass onto someone else, which she did absentmindedly, bringing her back to realisty and she started working again. James shrugged and scratched the back of his neck tiredly. "Well im sure there are motels and B 'n' B's around you can stay at." He said.
He went on with the lesson until the bell rang.All the students started to get up,gathering their things,"any questions class?"he asked them.
She nodded,"i guess,so i can pick it up after 2 weeks?"she asked.

Melody got up and packed away her things, shouldering her bag as she was about to leave. "No sir." She mumbled as she started leaving. James thought for a moment. "Well lets see ... here if you give me your number and something comes up or if the cars done I will call you ASAP." He told her with a charming smile.
"are you sure?"he asked her pointedly,"you weren't completely attentive in the class,you know"
she thought about it and said,"well,i guess i could"she said and pulled out her card from her purse,returning his smile with a dazzling one.

Melody looked at him, blushing slightly. "Oh right... sorry sir." She said, shifting from one foot to the other. "I better go then.." She said. James was caught off by her sweet smile and took her card gratefully. "Thank you madam, well I hope you have a good day." He said tipping his hat off to her.
He smiled at her and said,"it's okay,i wasn't much different as a student either"he said as he walked out.
"i hope so too"she said and smiled at him as she walked out.It was getting dark now.she quickly walked through the streets looking of some B & B.

Melody nodded and smiled as well, before leaving and going to her next class. Wow an honest teacher... She thought, normally teachers told her off. James watched her walk out and into the darkness. He shook his head and went after her, she shouldn't walk alone at night especially around here. "Excuse me!" He called after her, catching up easily.
He went to his next class,still smiling to himself.He remembered his school days as he gathered a sheaf of papers from his desk and walked into his next class.

Melody sighed as she entered her next class, sitting down and getting her things out to start doing work, looking out the window, daydreaming slightly. James smiled at her as he stopped, taking a breath. "Um I was thinking maybe I should walk with you, make sure your safe." He said.
He started teaching.He loved his job.It was fun to see all the students everyday and be part of their school times.He loved having fun.
"That is so kind of you"she said,"yeah,why not?"she chuckled inwardly,thinking what he would say if he knew what she really was.

Melody trid paying attention to the teacher but she was bored and dissatisfied and wanted to go home and do her art. She tried taking notes.James smiled and gave a slight bow. "Great." He said as he walked with her to the hotel. He kept a look out. "So how long are you here for?"

His class soon finished and he went to the canteen,humming softly to himself.

(( Sorry! And yes :D )) Melody sighed in relief when the bell went and packed away quickly, going to her locker and getting her lunch. She went out and sat under and tree and drew again, think about the conversation she had with her teacher about doodling.
James nodded. Duh! He thought to himself. Being around her made him feel like he should stick by her, keep her safe. "Oh right. Well I promise to fix as soon as. So...um.. I was wondering...if your not busy and im not busy that maybe Icould take you out for a coffee or somethign some time." He said feeling nervous.

He looked out of the large windows in the cafeteria and saw Melody siting under a tree and smiled softly to himself.
She smiled softly at him,"that would be really nice of you"She couldn't help resisting his natural charm that he seemed to be so full of.

(( I was for a while )) Melody enjoyed watching people, getting to know them from afar. She drew what came to her head and kept watching as she ate her lunch. She noticed the teacher looking at her and she froze, blushing lighly before looking back down.
James looked at her a little surprised by her answer and smiled. "Cool. Well uh then its a date...I mean not a date, date ...I mean a date as in .. um im going to stop talking now." He said blushing lightly. What was wrong with him! He was never like this around girls..except this one.
