Elantris: Please include more info about the Cosmere

Hello,

It has been a while since I have read Elantris, so I plan on picking it back up for this. Perhaps partly due to the fact that this one has been out for a while, I would be very interested if the discussion of the book could include any insights or thoughts about Brandon's cosmere.

All of Brandon's books are supposed to take place in the same "universe" and be related in some ways. I haven't yet had time to do as much research on that as I would like so if information could be included as part of this that would be great.

My understanding is that eventually we may see people from the Mistborn world traveling to either Elantris, or the way of kings etc.

I've just started listening to The Sword and Laser so if I've missed something and this has all been gone over before please let me know.

Well Eric, I'm afraid I don't understand. Are you asking or informing? Or was this directed @ Veronica and Tom?

I know the bare basics of the Shard thing. I understand there was a short story about a group of people that became deities through the shards of a broken magic crystal and that these shards also influenced the personalities of their holders. By these deities the worlds of Mistborn and Elantris were formed. I understand Hoid or Wit is one of these or one of their kin at least.

I don't know how to continue without spoiling something.

Side note, I'm in London right now and working a bit with a customer based in London. I keep seeing references to "shard" and thinking of The Shard.

Sorry, didn't mean to confuse everyone. If there is info that can go directly here in the forum that is great, I was hoping to have more discussion in the actual podcast, perhaps I shouldn't have put that here but emailed the show. I just started listening so wasn't sure what the correct protocol was.
