We want to point out some of the features of our group. Please feel to participate in anything as you wish.
If you are looking for recommendations of good books to read, you have come to the right place! You will fiind your TBR (to be read) pile tipping over in no time at all.
Please stop by this thread to introduce yourself to the members of the group. Don't be shy; we don't bite.
Our regular activities are:
1. Monthly Group Read: Each month, Kat and Sarah lead us in a monthly read. Each month will have a different theme which is voted upon by the members. Two books are selected by the membership that fit the theme. Members may read one or both of the books. If neither are to your liking, you may read a book of your choice that belongs to the theme. You may read these books in conjunction with other activities in the group.
2. Challenges: Janice & Rusalka take turns leading a monthly challenge and Janice leads a yearly challenge. Watch for twists & turns on a monthly theme that will have members jumping in to join the challenge. Please note that books read for one challenge are exclusive to that challenge and may not be read for the yearly challenge.
3. TBR Topplers: Another activity led by jaxnsmom is the TBR Topplers (read-a-thons). Once you get overloaded on recommendations and your TBR becomes unmanageable, you'll be happy to have the chance to read along with your fellow members to reduce your TBR pile. You may read Toppler books in conjunction with other activities in the group.
Three things we ask:
1. DO NOT SPAM! We welcome authors and bloggers in our group as regular members, participating in the boards and activities. Anyone who spams the group with their books , blogs, or other products will have their messages deleted and be booted from the group.
2. TREAT YOUR FELLOW MEMBERS WITH RESPECT! The moderators do not want to act as referees, but we will step in if there is rudeness towards other members.
3. When referring to a book or author, please use the "Add book/author" feature above the comment box so that a link is placed in your message. Eg. You are going to read Jane Eyre. Selecting the title using the "add book/author" feature will add a link like this: Jane Eyre. If you are on the app and unable to link, give us the title and author's names.
Please send us a message if you have any questions.
