I'm not so sure I like this book

But like Dee said, whether you will like it or not isn't something anyone else can really tell you.

I'm on page 15 and it just seems so boring....redundant.
Too much repeating.

but if you are not liking it, then don't read it, there are plenty of books out there, to be wasting time reading something you're not enjoying.

:/

A lot of people noted that, and I did too

I loved this book, but I agree that the beginning didn't capture my attention. A book should never have a boring moment, or a moment you want to skip over. If there is a part in a book like that, then the author didn't do his/ her job properly. I was taught in my writing classes to keep the reader's interest. If the writer is bored writing it, then the reader will be bored reading it. So, Susan should have tweaked it, changed the tone, or added emphasis to the beginning. That is the most important part after all. If I read the first few lines, and I'm not interested right away, I don't bother with it. The only reason I kept with this book was because I was told how great they were like the rest of you.

the begining is a little slow to start but the book does get really good and gets you flying through the next 2 at least it did for me

I get through half of the book.I will finished this book. I usually don't drop books when I've already started them...and I don't plan to do so with the Hunger Games. I just wanted to know if the beginning seemed boring to any of you guys.
Thanks guys for all you support!
-GOR out xD

But I think every book deserves a chance, and this will be one that pays off in the end.

It gets better once they start the games in the second section.

So I'm 15 years old...Let's see 100 minus 15 equals 85. 85 til I can drop it.
The only problem is that I'm on page 166 and it's geting very interesting.
;)
Soooooooooooo thanks but no thanks.
xD

:/"
I'm glad to hear that you kept reading. I find most books (especially 1st in series) take at least 2 chapters to set the stage and set up the characters. I've found some books that you have to get at least 1/3 through.

Right now my awesomeness meter for books is low on the Hunger Games...Someone help me please, because I'm told that this series is a good one, very loved, but I just don't see it.
Should I drop it or what???
