Allieshae Compare and contrast the Greasers characteristics as a group and individuals to yourself. Would you have been friends with them or the Socs? Who do you relate to the most? The least?

The Unicorn Riding Faerie[Vee] I relate to Soda Pop most i feel like I'm in the middle a lot of the time between my sister and my mother. I would be a greaser. I could not handle being a pretend good child to get a better liking.

Lyla Neko I would definately side with the Greasers. :\

Mochaspresso I want to side with the Greasers....but I have a feeling that I'm a Soc in reality.

Racheal Renwick I was always the weird child growing up, so I'd be a greaser.

morgan I really don't know... The author makes you want to side with the greasers, so you don't really get the other side of the story. I really can't choose.

John Steiner When growing up in my neighborhood in Taylorsville, Utah if you didn't exactly adhere to the culture and lifestyle you were ostracized and some parents even encouraged their kids to tease the outcasts.

So when I read this story I strongly associated with the Greasers. Pony Boy felt like my in vitro twin.

Dee Before I read this book in 8th grade, I really didn't realize how much I LOVE reading. So I really owe my love to read to this book, thank you S.E Hinton :]. But to keep on topic I would have sided with the Greasers, and I would probably have related most to Ponyboy.

Ella I would've related the most to Darry. I have an older brother and 4 younger siblings, 3 of them being girls. I feel like I would react the same exact way he did of both of my parents died. Taking over the responsibilities but also becoming way more serious. I also see Sodapop in me though because if it was my older brother me and the sister closest to me, then I get between them all the time and everyone always says that I'm really funny and always sort of in my own little world. I guess I relate to both.

Megan Collier I would side with the Greasers, and I relate most to Ponyboy.

Nicole We had to read this book for school, and then I really got into thought. I mean, sure, we start saying we relate with the Greasers AND Socs. But I don't think Hinton just meant it to be like "the pops and the geeks" or whatever. I mean, we can be both! Greasers, maybe when we're at home, and someone's picking on our little brother. Or a Soc at school picking on a kid. So the thing is, I think we both have a Soc and a Greaser inside - we just have to pick the right one. But yes, I would say I would side with the Greasers. :)
