Right now I'm ready to pack my suitcase and visit my sister overnight. We're going to a meeting of the Mavens of Mayhem tomorrow. As I've said in another topic at this group, they are a group of female authors who write mystery books.

We're also going to see the movie "The Duchess" tonight.

Hi all,
I'm visiting my sister right now and am using her computer. The weather is overcast and the temp 60F here in the Albany area.

Today I'll be going to a meeting of the Mavens of Mayhem and we'll be taking my other sister out to brunch for her 81st birthday. Have a good day all.

Last Saturday I enjoyed attending the meeting of the Mavens of Mayhem. There was a reporter there from the Glens Falls "Post-Star" newspaper. I understand that his report will appear in the Post-Star on November 22.

He interviewed the attendees and showed interest in this Glens Falls Book Discussion Group. I'm hoping he'll give us a good word or two, or perhaps a full article. (I can dream can't I?) (g)

Temp at the moment is: 31.6°F. Hope it warms up.

I've been taking a break since January. Laid off. It's cold and gloomy here in Chicago. Ugh.

Tomorrow and Friday I get to go to an actual office and do some volunteer work for a literacy organization. I'm looking forward to the break from my break:)

Cold and gloomy is the word for the weather here in Glens Falls, too, Andy. Even the water in our bird bath is frozen. The temp here at 7:57 PM is 29.8°F.

Sorry to hear about your being laid off. It's good that you're keeping busy with volunteer work.
