FYI: Anyone who hasn't read EJ's new short "Winning the Wallflower," remember it's available for only $.99 and Amazon deals include JQ's The Secret Diaries of Miss Miranda Cheever for $1.99 and Lisa Kleypas's Smooth Talking Stranger for $2.99.

I am reading The Luxe by Anna Godbersen. It is a the first in a YA series that takes place in 1899 Manhattan.

Kasey, I read that one and I had a very hard time getting through it. Maybe it was because I was in one of my reading slumps. I hope you enjoy it, I may have to reread it :)

Cindy (cindyw35) | 128 comments I'm reading Sugar Creek by Toni Blake.

I didn't realize Winning the Wallflower was out now, Janga. Thanks for the reminder!

I breezed through Jill Shalvis's Head Over Heels over the weekend. And then it's back to the Leslie Tentler book. I just couldn't help myself with the Shalvis. It felt like everyone else was reading it and I wanted to read it too! It was worth it. Sweet, sexy, funny story.

Thanks, Okie. I am not very far yet, I just started it a little last night, but I will let you know when I get further into it.

I'm reading Eternal Flame, by Cynthia Eden. I'd started it a few weeks ago, but quickly realized I wasn't in the "mood" for a paranormal romance... I'm happy to say that I'm very much enjoying it this time around! Lol!

I've really liked each and every book of hers so far!

Irisheyes | 896 comments I just started Carla Kelly's Coming Home for Christmas and loving it. I just finished the first story with Thomas and Laura and am on to Lily's story now.

I am so angry that I can't get Carla Kelly's Christmas Collection on my Nook! All these ebook politics are starting to really drive me up a wall. My husband just bought a Samsung Galaxy for work and I'm trying to convince him to download the Kindle app on his Galaxy so I can get the book. I know I can get the app for my computer but I can't read for long periods at my computer. I'd rather have it on a device I can take to bed with me :) My Dh is looking into a way to root (I think that's what it's called) my Nook so that I can put a Kindle app on it myself. The only problem is I'm very impatient and want my Carla Kelly now! LOL

Theresa Romain | 420 comments I was in the mood for a contemporary, so I'm reading SEP's What I Did for Love. It's my first by her (I know, I know). I'm not a fan of the hero yet, but I'm sure he has unseen depths. :) And the heroine's pretty awesome. Which is the best SEP to read next?

Oh, Teresa! You're in for a treat! Since you're a scientist I think you should try Nobody's Baby But Mine. For sheer LOLness you can't go wrong with Lady Be Good. Really I love them all.

Aly is so frigging bored | 857 comments Mod
Theresa you have to read them ALL! SEP has a way of writing... I don't know how to explain, but she is great!

Read the new Head Over Heels by Jill Shalvis. Breezed through Good Girls Don't, Bad Boys Do and Real Men Will by Victoria Dahl and they were very entertaining, just what I needed actually. Now I started For the Earl's Pleasure, and from the 20% I have read it's not what I was expecting...

message 16: by Theresa (new)

Theresa Romain | 420 comments Great--thanks, ladies! Sounds like I can't go wrong with anything by SEP. I'm in for a glom, because I'm halfway through WIDFL and the hero's completely won me over. A modern rake that's already reformed! I'll look for NBBM next.

Aly--For the Earl's Pleasure is definitely unusual. I liked the heroine quite a lot, but yeah, the hero's not physically present for most of the book. :)

I loved Match Me If You Can and Ain't She Sweet? Her last two were awesome as well...So I guess I'm joining the bandwagon, you can't go wrong. :)

Ain't She Sweet is not my favorite SEP, but it's one I think every romance writer should read just to see how SEP makes the reader end up rooting for a heroine who has way too much in common with the girl most of us hated in high school. Dream a Little Dream and First Lady are my favorites.

message 19: by Theresa (new)

Theresa Romain | 420 comments Cindy and Janga--thanks to you too! I'm completely sold on SEP's genius. I adored WIDFL. There were no villains; every character was complex and unique. Plus TWO lovely secondary romances. Now I want to read *everything* she's written.

I had some trouble finding NBBM, so I got the Honey Moon-Hot Shot duo instead. Might as well hit the backlist semi-chronologically.

message 20: by Theresa (new)

Theresa Romain | 420 comments Ok, undo what I said before. Courtney Milan's Unraveled is out as of last night (!), and I got a surprise ARC of Maggie Robinson's Master of Sin yesterday too. So that's what I'll be reading this weekend. Woot!

I finished The Luxe last night. It was good, but I can understand why it is a hard book to get into. All the varied stories and points of view. To me it read like an early American soap opera. All and all, I did like it, but it was a slow read. Even so, I am going to jump into Rumors (the sequel) right away.

Janga, Dream a Little Dream is my favorite SEP book too! It was my first of hers, but remains my favorite!!!
