Was it ever published with the current cover? It looks like it was, back in 2006. I a book has been reprinted with the same ISBN and a new cover, rather than change the existing record, GR policy is to create an alternate cover edition.
If the reprinting has a new cover and a new ISBN, then a new record altogether is created, and then combined with the other edition(s) to make one "work". Your book already has an edition with that cover and another ISBN -- this one.

Thanks for the quick reply. It was published like this in 2006. I self-published it (1897312229) and then it got taken on by a publisher and became its present version (http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/25...).
Ideally then the original edition would be removed as it no longer exists.
Is this possible?
Thank you,
Alastair

[My attempts to get Amazon to remove it are another story!]
So it is confusing and unhelpful to have the book listed here, unlike finding an out-of-print gem in a library...
Thanks
Alastair
For most users, GR is not primarily about buying books; it's about shelving and reviewing books they have read. Sometimes our author members have trouble keeping that focus in mind.
And that edition is available for purchase from Amazon -- albeit only used.
