Vicky (librovert) | 2462 comments You are correct that it is a collection and not a series.

Goodreads series should only be created if EVERY EDITION of a book is part of the series.

Greta | 127 comments HI !!
I was wondering how to add a book / edition which is part of a collection. Is there any way to mark that book as a part of a collection? and knowing which other books are part of it?
(sorry about my english.- As "collection"I mean a selection of books made and published by a Publisher, which could include several books from different authors, or from the same autor. And they all have a similar cover. For example:
http://articulo.mercadolibre.com.ar/M...

So when I add a book which is part of a collection, is there any field of the form which I have to indicate it is one book from a collection?
thanks!!!

I think what you are describing is an imprint [a publisher series that have something in common or a collection].

You can create a list of the books in listopia. Just search if one already exist, if not create a new list. After you create/like a list, it will be saved in your lists.

If you want them in your book collection you can create a separate shelf for the imprint.

The format is set for each individual book. There are box sets, but those are for books that are sold as a box set, not for collections.

This is an example of a box set:
A Song of Ice and Fire - A Game of Thrones The Story Continues The Complete Box Set of All 6 Books by George R.R. Martin

And this is an example of an imprint/collection:
https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/3...

These are all sci-fi books, chose and printed out by the same publisher. They are a collection of 121 books, but not series.

There is not special way to add all 121 books into the GR database and they shouldn't be added in one entry. The correct format in this case for all of them is paperback, so we wouldn't made up a new format just to indicate a book being part of series, nor would that made it any easier to search for the books. Some people might put indication of a collection/imprint in the title.
