~ 2,012 in 2012 Book Count Challenge ~
CaroB wrote: "If you had a book that was an ebook bundle of three books, would you count it as 3 separate books, or only one?"I'd count it as 3 cause if you bought them individually you'd count them that way. Is it the Susan Mallery Bakery Sisters series you're reading right now that you're talking about? I've read the 2nd in that series, not realizing it was number 2. I've got the first and last on Braxton, just haven't read them yet.
If the bundle has 3 books, I would count it as 3 books unless you're not going to read the entire bundle. :)
Yep, it is the Bakery sisters bundle, and I'm reading the third and final one now. I didn't know if I was cheating by putting them down individually. Glad you all approve :-)
I separate them, unless I'm using them for the chunkster challenge... and even then, I sometimes separate them elsewhere, LOL! I just got a 4:1 and I'm definitely separating them.
Okay, time for the Sunday Update. We are at 2,251 on the communitity board, plus Cathrine's 44, make it 2,295! As Heather says, we just keep swimming and swimming.2,251/5,000
Sunday Update
Close enough ;) I drive my Hubs crazy cause I estimate everything, including the time. And sometimes the checkbook when I don't know the exact change for something LOL
Can I join in on this one? I have kept track of all my books from Jan 1 to present which is a total of 134 so far. I just increased my GRs goal from 150 to 300 *sighs* I think I can I think I can lol
Oh, please do, Robin! We would LOVE to have you. Are you going to join through the main page challenge, or do you want us to keep track of your books in this thread. You'll have to indicate whick bookshelf you want GRs to track. ("Read" won't work, sorry.)
In the words of Timon and Pumbah, Hakuna Matata. No worries ;0) We'll make this goal.I barely read anything last week, but I was very busy. Hopefully, my reading will pick back up...I know it will once the end of the month comes and I'm not working anymore; but it may before then cause I may have to make an unplanned trip to Louisiana in a week or so cause my Dad fell Saturday night and broke his neck (3 vertebrae) and had surgery today. He's now in traction for a week while they determine if more surgery is needed and if he'll walk again. Mom said to wait to go down there till the release him cause she really doesn't need anything while he's in the hospital, but will need help when she gets him home :(

I'll send good thoughts your way that he is up and about soon!
Catherine wrote: "hey...are you tracking this daily or weekly? what are we up to now? still half-way?"Weekly. Every Sunday, Catherine. We are at 45.9% as of yesterday.
Why? Did you read another book? ☺

lol...half-way through a couple! it's frustrating....and I want to get more read...but I have sooooo many books on my challenges....what with the series challenge, and the level 1 challenge(hopefully going to be level 2!) I don't know if I'm coming or going!
Thanks, Lisa Kay! I'm an only child, so I'm in a little bit of a frenzy right now. Thankfully I enjoy reading and can use it as an escape.
Catherine wrote: "I don't know if I'm coming or going!"I've done that. What am I saying? I still do that! LOL!
Lisa Kay wrote: "Oh, please do, Robin! We would LOVE to have you. Are you going to join through the main page challenge, or do you want us to keep track of your books in this thread. If I have trouble I will be back to post for help lol as I have never used that before. In fact I have a question now...lol I already have a shelf titled 2012-book-challenge which has all my 2012 books on it can I use that one?
If it doesn’t work, Robin, make sure you include the hyphens. I’m not sure if they fixed that problem while it was in beta testing.
Lisa Kay wrote: "If it doesn’t work, Robin, make sure you include the hyphens. I will go and work on it now and see what happens and report back here to ya.
OOOOPs I have one other question...just in case I meet my goal of 300 can I increase here on the main challenge page or is it set in stone once I put my number in?
Lisa Kay wrote: "Yes, you can! Go in under "update"."OK thanks LK!!! I am going to go right now and get this started and will let you know how it goes. Be back to this thread soon : )
Well that was quick...I entered 300 books my shelf name and this is what it spit back at meYou have read 134 books toward your goal of 300 books.
134 of 300 (45%)
Awesome, you're 30 books (10%) ahead of schedule!
So I guess it took my info : )
You did! I posted a message on your challenge thread. Did you get it, Robin? Piece-of-cake, right? Congrats. ☺
Susan, sending postive thoughts your dad's way and hope your mum has an easy time of it when he's back home. And a virtual hug for you, cos it's sucky when our parents aren't ok.
Lisa Kay wrote: "You did! I posted a message on your challenge thread. Did you get it, Robin? Piece-of-cake, right? Congrats. ☺"Yep, I got it and just responded to it!!! Yep it was a piece-o-cake!!! So glad to join in on this and happy to help you all meet the group goal : )
CaroB wrote: "WEll done Robin, glad to have you on board for this one. I'm in awe of 300 books!"Thanks CaroB!!! Well, I originally started out my goal as 75 and met it in about 2 months lol so I increased it to 150 and I am almost there so I took a little poll in a couple of my other groups and the ladies encouraged me to go 300 instead of 250 lol SO that is what it is for now.

OH no Susan. I hope all goes well and I will most definitely be sending warm wishes, thoughts and prayers out to your family. Take care and please keep us informed.
thank you CaroB and Robin! I didn't hear from Mom last night, but I'm guessing that she was tired after stressing during his surgery yesterday. I will keep ya'll updated. Thanks again :)
