I've been reading romance novels for many years, and I've noticed most romance books written featuring an H/h past the age of 35 and 40 are few and far between. I'm hoping to change the perception of what people think about maturing.
I have friends in their forties getting married for the first time and having babies and a whole other group of friends who are going out and starting exciting new careers, and making new lives.
I have to admit, I'm confused by the lack of mature storylines available to readers. It's the year 2019, and I believe the romance genre should represent what being in your forties is really all about in this day and age.
