Have you been to Lilja's Library website? If not check it out! http://www.liljas-library.com/ Hans-Ake Lilja and I are talking about him stopping by the group to take some questions so please stop by his website and look around. No he is not Stephen King but believe me he is the closest you will get! It is one of my favorite websites and always has the scoop. The website is always updated and he even has a book on King http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/64.... So look through the website get some questions ready... I will let you know as soon as we get the Q&A set up!

Welcome Lilja... I have just introduced this to the group so I will spread the word. Also, have you considered becoming a goodreads author? Thanks for being here!

message 6: by Hans-Åke (new) - added it

Hans-Åke (hans-akelilja) | 22 comments Thanks! What does it mean to be a Goodreads author?

message 7: by Angie, Constant Reader (new) - rated it 3 stars

Angie | 2699 comments Mod
Well I don't know exactly, but what it does do is link up your personal account to your author account. So when someone does look at your book on here if they click on the author link it goes directly to your account. Plus people can be fans of you and follow your reviews if you choose to review books. Also goodreads will link up your account to your blog or website. So for example, King has an account on goodreads even though he isn't registered and you can see posts from his website on there as well.

I have a question... so you started Lilja's Library in 1996 right? What inspired you to go out and create such a great community for King readers?

message 9: by Angie, Constant Reader (new) - rated it 3 stars

Angie | 2699 comments Mod
I also see on your site you have had the privilege to interview King a couple of times. How exciting was that? Where do you get all the insider information that you put on your website? From the man himself ? ? ? ? :)

message 10: by Hans-Åke (new) - added it

Hans-Åke (hans-akelilja) | 22 comments OK, I might look into becoming a Goodread author. Don't know if one book qualifies me though :-)

message 11: by Hans-Åke (new) - added it

Hans-Åke (hans-akelilja) | 22 comments Well, in 1996 the Internet looked very different and the sites that was online then wasn't what I wanted to read as a fan so I thought "Why don't start one yourself?". I had no idea it would still be here 15 years later :-)

message 12: by Hans-Åke (new) - added it

Hans-Åke (hans-akelilja) | 22 comments :-) Yeah, I have interviewed King twise by phone and I have meet him and shook his hand at a publishing party in London. It was great. Definatley once in a lifetime.

I get info from many places. Not form King himself though.

It counts. If you've published or even contributed or worked on a book, you're eligible, if I understand correctly.

Obviously you talk to a lot of Stephen King fans.. from all over the world! What do you find to be everyone's favorite book? Least favorite? What about your own?

message 15: by Hans-Åke (new) - added it

Hans-Åke (hans-akelilja) | 22 comments Everyone has their own but The Stand, IT and The Dark Tower are at the top of may lists. Same with me. I also like The Long Walk alot.

And yes, I do talk to fans from all over the world. Being from Sweden myself it's a lot of fun hearing from other fans. I just introduced comments on my site so I hope that will get people talking.

Kit★ (xkittyxlzt) | 617 comments I just would like to say you have a great site! I've been checking it out since I first found it back in high school study hall, circa 1999 or so. So much great info :)

Do you have plans to write another King book? If so what will it be about?

message 19: by Hans-Åke (new) - added it

Hans-Åke (hans-akelilja) | 22 comments There will be a Stephen King movie Quiz next year that I have written with Brian Freeman and Kevin Quigley.

message 20: by Mohan (new)

Mohan (mohansn) Question to Lilja: Is it true that Stephen King suffered from night terrors at some point in his life (childhood?)? I vaguely remember hearing this about him but could not find any confirmation.

message 21: by Monica (last edited Dec 01, 2011 09:20AM) (new)

Monica | 1 comments How are you able to interview so many people who are tied with King shows/movies/books? http://www.liljas-library.com/intervi... I love to read them!

message 22: by Hans-Åke (new) - added it

Hans-Åke (hans-akelilja) | 22 comments Mohan: He has talked about it but I'm not sure if it's true or just something he says to scar us readres :-)

message 23: by Hans-Åke (new) - added it

Hans-Åke (hans-akelilja) | 22 comments Monica: I ask :-) And I have been very lucky. I hope it's because they think my site is a good place to be intervied and that they feel I respect them. Yesterday I interviewed Annabeth Gish and in 10 min I'm getting a call from Mick Garris.

I really love doing interviews!

message 24: by Sksm (new)

Sksm | 3 comments Hans, in 2006 we have met in London, you also met King finaly.. are there still people that you want to meet someday? if so, who would that be?

message 25: by Hans-Åke (new) - added it

Hans-Åke (hans-akelilja) | 22 comments I'd love to meet Frank Darabont and Mick Garris in person. They are both very nice and it would be fun to sit down with them.

message 26: by Sksm (new)

message 28: by Megan (new)

Megan (trixiekitten) | 25 comments Just checked out your site, and what a surprise to see a link about Piper Laurie! I just finished watching the Twin Peaks gold box collection for the 2nd time and I loved her as Catherine! Your site is awesome, love the pictures & info. Keep up the good work :)

Hans-Åke (hans-akelilja) | 22 comments Thanks!

message 30: by Megan (new)

Megan (trixiekitten) | 25 comments Lilja, do you think they'll ever make 'The Long Walk' a movie? I remember reading something on IMDb a while back that it was a possibility.

message 31: by Hans-Åke (new) - added it

Hans-Åke (hans-akelilja) | 22 comments The rights are owned by Frank Darabont and I know he wants to do it but you never know. If anyone can do it though it's Frank.

message 32: by Megan (new)

Megan (trixiekitten) | 25 comments He's the only one I'd want to :)

I know! I've always said that if I were a writer and my book were being made into a movie, I'd only trust Frank Darabont with my baby.

Although I'm a little scared about him directing a movie called The Long Walk. His movies are well paced but we'd be in the theater for a while :)

message 35: by Hans-Åke (new) - added it

Hans-Åke (hans-akelilja) | 22 comments Yeah, but if King can tell a story about people that is walking Frank can do the movie version of it :-)

message 36: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 701 comments this is true, he'd be the best at it.

Darabont and The Long Walk, eh? I'd love to see that.

Though I can't help but think: "The Long Walking Dead".

Ahem..anyway.

It's really cool to have you hear Lilja. I'm sorry I haven't been around much during your visit. I'll be sure to frequent the website, though.
