One of the things I love about Mary Balogh is that characters recur in her books some obviously, more fun some subtly.
It's great to see the Bedwyns any time and one of the reasons I really love the 2nd and 4th books in the "Simply" series besides all the "Slightly" books. It's also one of the reasons I'm looking forward to Lady Gwen Muir's story--there have to be Bedwyn updates.
Then there's the more inside things: in the first "Simply" the Baron who hears Frances also is in a "Regency Christmas Carol". At his recital, there is a pianist who limps who also shows up in "Simply Perfect". I believe it's Rosamund from "Red Rose".
Rosamund's cousin (name escapes me) also shows up with her husband in another book. They are running a school for young boys.
I'm sure there are other instances that escape me now. I'll bet the list members can add to my recollection.
The main reoccurring characters are the Bedwyns, Kits family and a few of the women from the Simply series. All are in the same literary world as the Bedwyns.
