Chelsea I chose this book because i have read other roald dahl books and they've all been great so it figured that this would be a good book too. Also i saw the movie and i wanted to see if the movie was as good as the book

Glinda the Gallifreyan I saw the movie after reading the book two or three times, and I have to say that I really enjoyed the movie. Of course, a movie's never as good as the book, but taking that into consideration, I really liked the movie. The Trunchbull was great. =]

Angie I also saw the movie before reading the book. I liked both. Miss Honey is so wonderful, she reminds me about a teacher I had since Pre-school, she was a very nice both as teacher and person. I haven't seen her again since I finished High School, I hope she is fine.

The book has inspired me to read, for this book I read Great Expectations and Jane Eyre.

Uditi I read this book when I was little. It was my first Roald Dahl book that I had read and I loved it so much!
I've read almost all of his books and LOVED every single one of them but my favourite would definitely be Matilda, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and The Twits. And The BFG and Danny the Champion of the World.
Eh.. I love them ALL!

Alisha I chose this book because I really love Roald Dhal books and because I had already seen the movie.

P.S. Truncbull was the best in the movie.

Jessica I choose this book because I saw the movie but since I watched it a long time I read the book because the movie was very interesting

I chose this book because I have seen the film Matilda and wanted to read the book. The book was just as good as the film, also I thought it would be a different sort of book to read from all the other books I read.

Somerandom I chose this book because I just adore Roald Dahl. My first taste was James and the Giant Peach, for year 3 English. It was so awesome, engaging and darkly funny that I actually looked forward to class reading (I despised and still do, class reading. I like reading at my own pace, thank you.) Roald Dahl was my very first favorite author and even though I got into my bookworm phase many years after year 3, he was my reason to give books a chance again.
The man is genius! I loved Matilda when I saw the movie and though I read it after I saw it, I loved the book even more.

Marlee i chose this book because my teacher had a compaction to see who could read the most Roald Dahl my friends relate me to her because i read so much and so fast i love this book the endings my fav.

Ruth I loved the book and the movie. They go together pretty well.

Aesha matilda's story taught me how to read, and how to love reading

Dorcas Cherogony I was feeling a bit nostalgic about my childood, Roald Dahl's books were some of the first novels I read. Loved it both times but I feel I understand it more now than when I was in grade 2 which makes sense.

Ol' Mr Dahl NEVER fails to ensnare me in his fantastic tales! Matilda is just fabfabfab!

Thinley Choedon i read it because i like roald dahl's book and i like the book itself

Alison (I chose this book because I'd read Roald Dahl's books before, and I always enjoyed them. Also, my sister had read it before and recommended it to me.

Christopher Spinosa I practically agree with everyone who has commented because they all say that this is a great book, and Raold Dahl is a great author. I have read at least 15 of his books, and he ceases to amaze me. If only he could create more books...

Christopher Spinosa Aesha wrote: "matilda's story taught me how to read, and how to love reading"

Christopher wrote: "lol"

Christopher Spinosa wrong comment.. Ignore the comment above me!
