Is there a way to search on Goodreads for just a character name beginning with a certain letter. I am having trouble filling in a couple spots on a challenge. Or if anyone knows the best way to possibly do this.

Hi Joyce - I know that ppl were talking about this at the beginning of the year under the Character challenges. Have you had a look in those threads? (I'm afraid I have no idea about this sort of stuff generally.) The Name Game Tournament discussion thread may have also had some pointers...
I don't think there's a way to search by character on GR. When you do a search on GR, I think it only takes into account the title and the author.
the Name Game one has a link someone to a group that has a spreadsheet of characters...you could sort that by letter
I have e-mailed GR on Alpha listing but on Author or book itself not the characters. They don't even have the search capabilities. They did say that they will look into that in the future.. not sure how long the future is tho. And it would be so cool if you can just search keywords on different categories like the library does.
GR has a hard enough times with place names...because there is no standardization...so you might see London; London, UK or UK all for the same location

Do you think we could add to that list and share it as a google doc for us all. I am willing to work on that. I am such a nerd sometimes. I love cataloging things. Put up as a shared google doc for anyone to add to.
its not my spreadsheet...it belongs to another group - I think the SOS group (seriously overloaded on series)
This site lists hero/heroine names for historical romance only. Will this help?http://www.historicalromancewriters.c...
