“What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us; what we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal.”
― Albert Pike

“I want you to understand that your first duty is to humanity. I want others to look at us and see that we care not just about ourselves but about others.”
― Madam C.J. Walker

“It's not how much we give but how much love we put into giving.”
― Mother Teresa

“The most treasured and sacred moments of our lives are those filled with the spirit of love. The greater the measure of our love, the greater is our joy. In the end, the development of such love is the true measure of success in life.”
― Joseph B. Wirthlin

“That's what I consider true generosity: You give your all, and yet you always feel as if it costs you nothing.”

Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.”

message 15: by Brenda (new)

Brenda (freeshia) Thanks for the quotes. I love quotes! Something I can ponder on throughout the day.

message 16: by Brenda (new)

Brenda (freeshia) My quote for the day

" Only the present is real. Therefore only the present can create the present.

If you insist in believing that the present is the result of the past, then you are (now) dragging the past into the present, and (now) "projecting" that this seeming past has an effect on the present. (Notice, by the way, that all this "dragging the past into the present" is also all occurring ONLY in the present.) This is like dragging an anchor around, rather than simply letting go of the anchor (the past) and living freely and easily in the present. Be free of the past! Live joyously in the present!" _ Bashar

message 23: by Steph;) (new)

Steph;) | 7 comments Here is an awesome quote I found by Beth Moore-
"We have an open invitation to a divine invasion. If we're willing, God is our song when we are happy, our escape when we are tempted, our hope when we are despairing, our joy in tribulation, our strength in weakness, and our immortality in dying. Ultimately, He Himself is our health"

message 27: by Brenda (new)

Brenda (freeshia) Sunday while reading Being You,Changing The World, by Dr.Dain Heer; about Oness and how we can not have oness by ourself, that it takes more then one to have oneness. " Could an infinite being ever truly be alone?"

Thank you , for this site. This connection with others.

Great thought, Brenda. Sounds like a good book.

We are never alone, although it may feel this way sometimes. I'm glad you're in the group, there is a connection with everyone here, even though most are silent. Just the fact that we all have joined a common cause means we are one in purpose and one in heart.

Heather | 281 comments Mod
I added the book, I hope to get to it soon.

message 30: by Steph;) (new)

Steph;) | 7 comments "There comes a time in your life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad, focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right, pray for the ones who don't. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living."
Jose' N Harris- A Story of Faith, Hope, and Love

Brenda (freeshia) " Where there is LOVE, there is POTENTIAL there is HOPE, there is GOD." Love Without End; Jesus Speaks.

message 33: by Steph;) (new)

Steph;) | 7 comments He Is Risen!
The earth shook with the news. He is not here; He is risen! And in that moment, joy replaced despair, hope pushed past fear, and life conquered death. Not just that day, but for eternity. We celebrate the resurrection of Christ for what it meant then and what it means for us every day, a sacrifice that brings forgiveness, renewal, and peace to any of us who put our faith in Jesus.
