The Host (The Host, #1) The Host question

Does anyone know what happened to Stephenie Meyer? She seems to have fallen off the face of the earth.

I am not interested in her Vampire books (Well, I have read and enjoyed them, but I know she isn't working on them), but I was curious to see what else she would produce and I hear nothing from her. I suppose she is focusing on family stuff maybe, or has a serious case of writer's block. Who knows.

That's what happens when you sell out.

I'd like to see her take on mermaids.

I think she made her money off Twilight and is done... She doesnt seem to me like a very serious author to write 6 1/2 books (All of which are from the same story line), and then just not follow up with fans or any other projects... But that's just my opinion. I do love her writing and would love to read more written by her though :0)

Can we say sell out! She will get back to writing once they run out of books to turn into movies!

Oh, if The Host is going to film, you know we are not gonna see another book for a while... sighs... I miss her writing as well... I think she is forgetting that the books spawned the movies, i.e. success. It kind of makes me mad, because I fell in love with Twilight before it became a hit. I love the way she tells a story, and to just put it on the back burner for all these movies...the books are way better anyway. I get the whole thing about the money, and all of that... but what about the fans who loved Twilight before a movie was even thought of. It seems like we have been long left in the dust, forgotten.

Don't forget: she is also a wife and mother of three growing boys. Life can sidetrack all of us.

I've read all of her books & would love to read more. All of her books really draw me in & I can't put it down till I'm finished. LOVE her work & ready for more :)

The Host is also going to film, so she probably has had a hand in that as well.

She's the executive producer of the Breaking Dawn movies...

I miss her too! Really would love to read someting from her again.

She is quiet and not as interactive as other authors for one and she is so busy with the movies.

I know she was on the movie set during most of the filming of the movie.

I was wondering the same thing about her...

I saw her lastt week at Bella and Edward's wedding, but I hope she is writing a sequel to the host while visiting Forks. ;-)

Danielle-mermaids? that would be very cool! I miss her

She was supposed to be working on a sequel to The Host, I thought, but I haven't heard anything in quite a while.. Those of us who love the Twilight books are still waiting for her to finish Midnight Sun, but who knows when or if she will! I am definitely ready for more from her, though!

I heard she would be writing sequels to the Host and I also heard something about mermaids, but my knowledge on the last one is really only that. If you need proof that she actually alive, you can see her in the wedding scene of the latest Twilight movie. Hope this helps, idk. :)
