I took the date right out of it so that I don't have to try to remember to change it. As you get older, you just get wilier. :)

Nate wrote: "The Hangman's Daughter, anyone?"The Hangman's Daughter sounds interesting, I'd be willing to join you.
Nate wrote: "The Hangman's Daughter, anyone?"Fond of this series. I just recently finished The Poisoned Pilgrim and will be reading The Werewolf of Bamberg.
If you get a buddy read together, I will happily put in my two cents worth!☺
I desperately want to finish A Discovery of Witches by the end of the month. So for me, more towards the end of the month would be best. Do you have any preference Kristie? Kerri? Nate?
I was thinking that I may try to squeeze it in on audio while packing depending on when it works for everyone else. Mid-October is best for me, but I could probably do it the end of the month or beginning of October. I can't do it before September 26 due to real-life commitments.
I resurrected the thread for The Golem and the Jinni and set up the link in the Buddy Read Calendar to take you to the start of the current conversation.I have The Hangman's Daughter. Unfortunately, I have about 3 books in print format to read before I could get to it.
I could wait for The Hangman's Daughter, Janice. When would be a good time for you? How about everyone else?
You mentioned above something about mid-October. I couldn't do it before then. And then there's the toppler that could throw a wrench in things. It's 450 pages which is a bit long for a toppler. How about after the toppler, so that would be towards the end of October.
I would be ready to read The Hangman's Daughter probably late this month, but am happy to wait till October if that works better for everyone.
I'm happy to start whenever as long as it's in October or later. I think after the toppler is a good idea though.
After the Toppler is good for me too. I am moving October 31-November 1, so that may throw my reading off for a couple of days. I have it on audio though, so I should be able to listen while I pack and/or unpack.
I am still thinking of reading The Passage in October. I know a couple people expressed as interest. You still up for it? Shall I set up a thread? I'm guessing this will take me a while to read as it's quite long. While I might start in October, it's possible I won't finish it until November especially because of the toppler in October and I'm also joining the Hangman's daughter buddy read too. I guess I'm a bit worried about setting up a thread if there aren't many of us, especially if I take an age to read it.

Hi Sarah. I'm new to the group, so never taken part in a buddy read but would love to join you on The Passage. I can start in October too but I am quite a slow reader so judging by the size of it, it may take a while to get through! Anyway, let me know and if we are, any guidelines?

Hi Anna, that's great that you want to join in with The Passage. I'll set up a thread now. Don't worry about the speed at which you read - it's bound to take me ages as well. No requirements - just read the book and discuss it in the thread I'm going to set up making sure to use the spoiler tags.
Sounds pretty simple! Looking forward to it!
A thread is set up for those interested in discuss Dracula for the October monthly theme:https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
A couple of us are still reading The Passage. I put it aside for the toppler but now I'll be back on it.
I believe the Dracula buddy read is finished. No one has commented in nearly a month, and many people seemed to have finished it before that.
No problem. I took Dracula off the calendar some time ago. The Passage is still on it, but I saw some recent comments so will leave it on a bit longer - unless someone tells me it`s done.
With such a long queue at the library I wasn't expecting to get The Nightingale so fast. It seems the library bought a few more copies. *happy clap*The thing is that I'll have my copy in a couple of weeks, and plan to start reading it on Jan 1st. since it is part of my Heritage Challenge.
Is anyone is interested?

I would be interested in a buddy read of The Nightingale Sandra. I have it downloaded on my kindle. I'm not using it for any challenge but I'm really desperate to read it.
Great! If you are desperate then Jan 1st is not too soon. :)I'll set a thread so more people gets to know about it.

Hehe, Jan 1st is perfect :)
I am planning to read The Clockwork Scarab for the scarab task in the geocache challenge. I probably won't get to it until April, but I figure that would give anyone interested enough time to find a copy. :) I thought some of you might be interested because it is a mystery with the sister of Bram Stoker and the niece of Sherlock Holmes solving the case. Let me know if you'd like to join and I'll set up a thread. My schedule is somewhat flexible after February if you need a different time.
Nope, Kristie. Any time in April works for me. You decide and I will be ready. I will look forward to reading it with you and maybe Lynda and Janice and Almeta and others will join us. I have several other Sherlock Holmes genre books waiting for me this year.

Excellent! Welcome Delitealex :) I started the thread with a date of April 12. Just let me know if we need to adjust the date as it gets closer. Here's the thread: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
Is anyone interested in reading Throne of Glass? I can't pop in the links at the moment as I'm on my phone.
Caecilia and I plan to buddy read My Name Is Lucy Barton this month for the monthly themed read. If anyone else is interested, please feel free to join us. Caecilia - When did you want to start. I own the book, so I am ready to start now. Just let me know what date works for you.
Anyone up for reading The Twelve with me? I know there were a number of us who read book 1. I was thinking towards the end of March. It's the second book in the trilogy.
Sarah wrote: "Anyone up for reading The Twelve with me? I know there were a number of us who read book 1. I was thinking towards the end of March. Happy to push it back a bit if you want to join in, I'm flexible. I fancied doing another buddy read but wanted to continue a series I'm already on instead of starting a new one (although I'm very tempted to see if anyone fancies starting Sanderson's Mistborn series too).
