There's a bookshop in Hay-on-Wye, here in the UK, housed inside a castle, where all of the books smell old and dusty, and slightly damp even though they're completely dry. I confess to going there just to breathe in the air. I've considered moving to Hay, as it has around 30 bookshops, as it is surely heaven on earth.

ooohhh... I have to say that for me, I love the scent of both old and new books... although I think I prefer the musty old smell to the new... it makes the book feel ancient and mysterious....lol
I love it... another Book Sniffer! Darla you are too right, we could start a group of our own.... haahaa
Welcome Gina, I feel like I live a sheltered life here in the US... We dont have lovely castles like the ones you have over there... Wahhhh... I need to get rich quick so I can travel soon!

I am slightly... no make that absolutely... obsessed with books. I can't resist them. I dare not enter a bookshop without a full wallet and a strong man (or six) to carry my shopping, I visit Amazon about fifty times a day, and my mother laughs at me because I don't just read/hold/cuddle books... I sniff them too.
Now before I really embarrass myself, I shall toddle off...
